Are you a Completionist Collector?
There’s a point where collecting stops being primarily about fragrance appreciation and becomes completion-driven collecting. It’s the mindset of: “I already have the one I love, but now I need the Intense, Parfum, Elixir, Limited Edition, Night Edition, Summer Edition…” The actual scent can become secondary. The urge to own the complete line becomes the motivation. A few signs of this collector mindset: Completion over preference: “I don’t love it, but I need the set.” Flanker propensity every new release creates an urge to acquire it. Fear of an incomplete line: owning 6/7 somehow feels incomplete. Bottle-family appeal: the visual continuity of a collection becomes part of the attraction. Acquisition becomes the reward: sometimes the excitement of obtaining the bottle exceeds the excitement of wearing it. Redundancy gets rationalized: “They’re different enough” even when the actual wearing experience is very similar. The house becomes the object: you’re no longer collecting fragrances; you’re collecting the brand’s universe. And honestly, this isn’t necessarily bad. It’s just a different type of collector. Someone may buy a flanker because they genuinely enjoy it; another buys it because the OG without the flanker feels incomplete. With a very large collection, that distinction becomes particularly interesting: Are you collecting scents, or are you collecting completeness?

Currently the house which I explored the more is Xerjoff. I have 12 of their scents and more than 60 samples. I tried all samples and now chasing good prices to buy some but not all of them. So I like to try, test and then buy a full bottle. But I'm also looking other houses with similar scent composition and specially development. If anyone has any suggestions, I would like to hear 😊

Everything is correct. I had a sample of this and it stinks so bad, I had to wash my wrist after 5 minutes because I couldn't stand out. The wors frag I smelled but there are some people who likes it.
Casamorati 1888
Hey Gents. Today to kick off the week I went with 1888 from Xerjoffs Casamorati line. This is another sleeper from the house. It’s definitely known but not praised like Naxos but it’s deserving of more attention. I’ve heard this described as a sexy Dr Pepper and you’ll definitely get that here. With time and maturity your bottle will develop some more….and when it does the dry down is incredible. After the sexy Dr Pepper vibe you’ll get a beautiful powdery amber and sandalwood that I didn’t get on my initial wearings but god is it great now. Longevity I would say 10-12 hours total on three sprays. Projection 2-3 feet for 4-5 hours before retracting to a foot. 12+ hours a skin scent but still enjoyable. The stars in this are carnation, pepper, saffron, ylang ylang, amber and sandalwood. The florals blend perfect together in this one. A must try if you haven’t yet.

I discovered this just few days ago and it's a bomb. So nice and pleasant even after 12+ hours. It requires little cold weather, for sure it's not for summer warm days.
Xerjoff Ouverture edp
Fresh, airy (fig), bit fruity (orange), sweet opening (short-lived) Then the floral (ylang-ylang, jasmine, rose), spicy (cinnamon) immediately creeps in Great projection and sillage Fruity-Floral-Amber blend The fruitiness is just done right and the florals are not overwhelming and not too feminine-leaning.. definitely not headache-inducing Luxurious, Mature, Unisex fragrance Good for the office and best for evenings and private formal occasions Best for Fall and Winter Powdery, velvety, creamy, ambery, vanillic, still sweet and fruity, woody, bit incensy on dry down Iconic Xerjoff silhouette bottle, gray, glitter-flecked (they got rid of the velvet exterior); golden heavy cap; good atomizer Great longevity Very prominent for 3-4 hours and stays as a skin scent for 3-4 more hours Great overall performance I would highly recommend Ouverture ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sensual-Seductive-Sophisticated This is not blind buy safe..
