Mama, the doorways of our homes are more than places we pass through. They are places where we can stand in the gap for the children God has entrusted to us. Long ago, God told His people to keep His Word so close that it marked the very entrances of their homes. “And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.” — Deuteronomy 6:9 🌿 This Week’s Small Challenge: Each night this week, pause at your child’s doorway and pray a short prayer over them. Just a few sentences, spoken with faith. Below is a simple prayer for each night to help you get started. 🌙 Nightly Doorway Prayers (children at home) Day 1: Protection “Lord, I cover this room and this child in Your protection tonight. I ask You to station Your angels around them and keep them safe from all harm. In Jesus’ name, amen.” Day 2: Peace “Father, I speak peace over this room. Quiet every fear, calm every worry, and give my child sweet, restful sleep. In Jesus’ name, amen.” Day 3: Identity “Lord, I thank You that my child is fearfully and wonderfully made. Help them know who they are in You and never believe the lies of this world. In Jesus’ name, amen.” Day 4: Friendships “Father, I ask You to surround my child with godly friends. Give them wisdom to choose the right people and courage to walk away from the wrong ones. In Jesus’ name, amen.” Day 5: Their Mind and Heart “Lord, I ask You to guard my child’s mind and heart. Fill their thoughts with what is pure, lovely, and true. Let Your Word take root deep within them. In Jesus’ name, amen.” Day 6: Their Future “Father, I place my child’s future in Your hands. Order their steps, open the right doors, and close the wrong ones. Let them walk in the purpose You created them for. In Jesus’ name, amen.” Day 7: Salvation and Relationship with You “Lord, more than anything, I ask that my child would know You, love You, and follow You all the days of their life. Draw them close to Your heart. In Jesus’ name, amen.” 🏡 If your children are grown or no longer live at home:
