I have recently decided that I want to flip a warehouse into my own basketball facility at some point down the road ( consider it a 5 year or 10 year plan ) and I am curious if anyone else in this community already has their own place or is in the act of trying to do so??? Any advice or tips for going about this? I really want to standout in my area with this and I fully believe it will set me apart from other trainers.
@Daniel Cooper for sure. I just wanna know how you finance everything needed or wanted and like the little details on what really goes into your own facility.
Whenever you get a new client who has no film and you have no prior relationship with, what is the approach you guys use to train them that day they come in? Do we just pick and chose something random or what?
As your players are preparing for preseason, are you actively preparing for the season as well? Are you in the weight room? Are you eating better? Are you mentally preparing yourself to become the best version of yourself? Post your routine or videos below! Let’s hold each other accountable!
So Important to be in shape as a trainer! I work out 5x a week and eat as healthy as possible so I’m able to keep up with these youngins! Cardio is also so important. You never know when you may have to lace up and compete for a drill or SSG!
What's one thing you've been thinking about as a coach lately? Could be something you're trying to improve, a challenge you're working through, or just an idea that's been on your mind. The season is approaching quickly! How's everybody feeling?
As a young coach who will coaching athletes who are not that far away from me in age, it is gonna be me trying to get them to take me serious and listen. I want them to see me as a coach just as much as a friend and not just one or the other.
That’s the challenge. I’ll try my best to be more of a coach than a friend at first to see how it works then probably reevaluate based off of their reactions
