Consistency and challenge Week 4 was largely off the bike, but focused on circuits and stretching, owing to being away with work. FTP is 342 Watts, but during racing, sitting around 326 Watts, as racing is racing and you sit in sometimes. Anyway, my take away is challenging myself in a stronger field, which has really pushed my shorter duration power. Weight is looking good too. Managed to back 3rd in Cat 3 Neo Pro for MW April Road Race Series amd 15th Overall, so that's good. As a time crunched cyclist, its good to focus on what you can do in the time scale. I very much race to train, as motivation is there for that. Consistency is key, what ever you are doing, be consistent in the approach and you'll get there. You'll reach a plateau, but it depends on the goal. It doesn't have to be long and boring. Train for your specialisation.
