Same car. Same house. Same me. The only thing that changed is where I put my energy, my attention, my faith, and my time. Stepping back has a funny way of giving you a clearer view. Distance will reveal things that closeness sometimes allows you to overlook. You begin to recognize the difference between ministry and performance, prophecy and personal opinion, genuine fellowship and convenient association, unconditional love and fleeting support. You notice when words spoken publicly don’t quite match actions displayed privately, and when the very principles being preached somehow disappear when it’s time to actually practice them. Some things I once overlooked, I now question. Some things I once accepted, I no longer agree with. And some things simply don’t sit right with my spirit anymore. My faith hasn’t changed—if anything, it has taught me to keep my eyes on God rather than people. I was also blessed and highly favored in a situation that could have gone many different ways, and by the grace of God, it worked out in my favor. A weight I carried for a long time has been lifted, and some worries I once had are no longer worries. But a blessing doesn’t mean you have to run out and spend it just because you have it. I don’t suddenly need a new car, a bigger house, designer labels, jewelry, or ridiculous things just to show people that I’ve been blessed. That’s never been my goal. My goal is security and legacy for my children. I want to make sure that when they grow up, they have a foundation. I want them to work because they have dreams and ambitions—not because they’re struggling just to survive. I want their starting point to be further ahead than mine was. So no, I’m not interested in becoming somebody new just because my circumstances changed. Same woman. Same heart. Same faith. Same lifestyle. Just fewer worries, clearer boundaries, different priorities, and a bigger purpose. Some blessings aren’t meant to change how you look. They’re meant to change what your children’s future looks like. 🙏🏽❤️

Lately I’ve been doing a lot of soul-searching. A few days ago I asked for prayer in a place where I believed prayer would be the first response. I expected something simple—a quiet acknowledgment, a “I’m praying for you.” Instead, the response was minimal. Very few people responded. That may not seem like much to some, but when you’re walking through something heavy, those small gestures carry weight. They’re often the difference between feeling supported and feeling unseen. The truth is, for the past few months I’ve been wrestling with whether I ever truly belonged there in the first place. I’ve witnessed powerful moments during worship—unity, passion, and a shared sense of faith—but I’ve struggled to reconcile that with what I sometimes experience once the service ends. The biggest reason I continue to walk through those doors every Sunday is because my daughter, Lexi, absolutely loves it there. I could never take away a place where she feels so connected to God. And to be fair, I have been blessed to make one or two genuine connections that I truly appreciate. My faith in God hasn’t changed. I still love God, and I’m grateful for what He’s doing in my life. But I’ve come to realize that the expressions of faith I long for most aren’t always found in the larger moments—they’re found in the quieter ones. A kind word, a prayer, a simple message—those are the things that remind someone they’re not walking alone. I’m not posting this to criticize anyone or seek sympathy. I’m simply sharing where my heart is. Maybe this season is meant to teach me something. Maybe it’s meant to strengthen me. I don’t have all the answers yet, but I trust that God does!
Whoa!!
Today feels bigger than just another day. A chapter I’ve been fighting through is finally coming to a close as my civil lawsuit reaches its conclusion. At the very same time, my son walked into his very first day of work. It made me stop and realize that sometimes God doesn’t just answer one prayer—He moves in multiple areas of your life at once. While one door is closing, He’s already opening another. As I sat thinking about it all, I realized these moments didn’t happen overnight. They were built day by day. I’ve always believed in raising my children with their future in mind. Since they were old enough to hold a broom or a dusting rag, they’ve earned allowances—not just to spend, but to learn how to save, invest, and understand the value of money. We’ve had honest conversations about my past, their father’s past, and how challenging it can be to build a stable life. I wanted them to learn from our experiences rather than have to repeat them. Some people have told me my parenting was “too mature” for children so young. Maybe it was. But I wasn’t raising children just for today—I was raising future adults. Now I’m watching that investment begin to bear fruit. My daughter, who is about to turn 13, is already dreaming of becoming a pediatric nurse and is taking her goals seriously. Today, my son started his very first job. As a mother, there are few joys greater than watching your children begin to walk confidently toward the future you’ve prayed for. I don’t take any of this for granted. I know every family has a different journey, and I know my children will still have challenges ahead. But today, I choose gratitude. I thank God for His grace, for the strength to keep going through difficult seasons, and for allowing me to witness these beautiful milestones. Sometimes God’s blessings aren’t loud. Sometimes they look like a child putting on a work uniform for the first time, a young girl dreaming big, and a weary mother realizing that all those little seeds she planted are finally beginning to grow.

In need of prayer
I’m asking if you would please keep me in prayer tomorrow as I have a civil court hearing. I’m not in any trouble—this is a civil case that I filed. This hearing has the potential to be life-changing, and I have seen God’s hand throughout this entire journey. He has opened doors, made a way where there seemed to be none, and reminded me time and time again that He is faithful. As much as I hope for a favorable outcome, my greatest prayer is simply this: Lord, let Your will be done. Whatever You have for me is what I want. If this is the blessing You’ve prepared, I receive it with gratitude. If You have something different, I trust Your plan completely because I know Your ways are always better than mine. Please pray for God’s presence to fill that courtroom, for wisdom, truth, favor, peace, and justice. Pray that I remain calm, confident, and anchored in faith, knowing that no matter what happens, God is already there. Thank you for standing with me in prayer. Your love, encouragement, and prayers mean more than you know. God has never failed me, and I don’t believe He’s going to start now. God bless you all. 🙏❤️
We wear the Mask
My current chapter read was talking about ownership of the persona and the masks we wear. It immediately made me think about a poem from one of my Fav writers of all time. "We Wear the Mask" by Maya Angelou. Listening to this poem after reading the chapter was a beautiful full circle moment for me and wanted to share with y'all. Hope you enjoy! YouTube Link below for the poem, and the photo is of my current read. My goal is to read 3 books before the end of the month my next milestone is 5 next month. Wish me luck 🌻 The Mask Maya Angelou inspired by Miss Rosie https://youtu.be/BzKKFq-4myE?si=N2_qU0otyVz42aeP Hope you enjoy.
