Bark Fuel: Film 02 (Isaías), a supplement to my entry I know this arrives after the deadline, so please read it as a supplement, not a replacement. Film 01, Kevin, is my entry. While building Kevin, the idea stopped behaving like a spot and started behaving like a system. A dog’s mind is filmed as cinema. The truth is filmed by the cameras that watch him. The food is the only moment both versions agree. I wanted to know if that holds with a different dog, a different city and a different enemy. So I wrote Isaías: a 3 kg Pomeranian in Brooklyn, defending his window from a cat three times his size. The rules didn’t change: - The fantasy never shows the whole dog. - A camera always delivers the truth. - The narrator always gets it wrong. - The epic is only honest about the food. Everything else changed, and it still worked. It even gave us something new: the building’s CCTV, the indifferent universe on the other side of the glass. Two films aren’t a campaign yet. But they show the idea doesn’t run out. Every dog owner lives with a Kevin or an Isaías, and every one of them believes he’s a wolf.
