@Mustafa Mohamed thank you! You are definitely in the right place We are going to be getting this community up and running properly soon- I’ve had some things come up in life that have needed attention. But this community will definitely be a good place to learn. I’ve been really fortunate in learning the craft before the market became saturated with DCTL’s and other tools. While these tools can and do create better looks in DaVinci, the basics of colour grading is developing the eye and learning lift, gamma and gain, really, really well. Once you have an intuitive grasp of how it all works then pick up the DCTL’s and other tools. These days, I only really use lift gamma and gain and the tools I’ve built. In regards to the science It also depends on what type of colourist you become, I’m very much creative through science, some colourists don’t dive too deep but again tje basics are worth knowing, i would recommend, things like colour space transforms and transforming in between spaces as minimum and it’s also a good place to build on should you want to dive deeper. You can absolutely reach your goals and if you can allow me a few weeks I will happily show you how to get there
