Roast and Promote
Hi 👋 Everyone My name is Ja'Nai, I'm new here to this community. I just launched my own community today for child care and foster care. An educational resource and upcoming provider membership. However, I'm also learning about skool. And all the other members here, I'm excited to be here. I like the concept roast and promote. That's funny because I always watched the roast on comedy central. https://www.skool.com/ggs-childcare-community-2768/about

Since Alexandra and Dave already won this month whoever roasts this post fiorst while it's pinned earns 6X the roasting points. Tagging @Roberto Srpak @LaToya Wiggins @Ann Clark @Steve Cobble @Lydia Lowery Busler @Alexa Leitner @Kevin Gebert @Eliot Payne @Heather Boers and @Chris K. Davidson for the BBQ contest! Also @Ken Hyra might be a great relevant roaster for this one. I really like the banner. It has personality and doens't look like the generic template we're seeing everywhere. I was almost criticizing on the community aspects seeing the focus on content, but than saw this "🤝 MORE THAN JUST INFORMATION", that's perfect! As someone who is interested on homeschooling [I know that is not your niche], seeing "support comes before competition" is great, because any child care community becomes toxic when parents are competing and using their children as prizes, and that is specifically a toxic thing about homeschooling communities. What I'd say is that I'm not a fan of the second image. I'd rather hear you talking. Learn more about your experiences. You'd benefit a lot from a real life success story to build authority. That would be much more valuable than just saying you have 10 years of experience. Recod a video telling a real life story and if possible include one or 2 testimonials. That's what you need to bring that to the next level.
Where is the grill?
If you just joined Roast & Promote you might be a little confused on how to roast others and become the roaster of the week. This post explain the point system, but you don't need to worry about that to win. Basically every post that I and the members make, except for post tagged as admin posts are roast requests (or marketing research posts if you want opinions instead of critiques). Engage with the posts giving insightful, detailed, unique and helpful answers and you will climb up the ranks. There is a point system but it only exists so my judgement is fair and not arbitrary, you don't need to worry about it. If you want to game the system, be the first one to roast someone or roast the post that is currently pinned, that will multiply your points. The winner will get promoted at the very top for 7 days and also have other posts calling discussions on their niche where they are also linked. And you also get shoutouts during the week if you're among the top 3. Like those champions are right now: 1st 🥇@Roberto Srpak : 84 points - Want to make real money with high ticket offers? OBB1 Community Navigator and OBB1 Community Navigator /Pro are the places you want to be! 🥈 @LaToya Wiggins: 52 points - LaToya helps people build offers, sharpen skills, and grow profitable, purpose-driven businesses at The Gem Vault

Roast My Workshop Ad Copy
So I've written an ad copy storytelling style) for a free live workshop I'm hosting this Thursday and I'd love your brutal honest feedback before I put money behind it. Here's what I specifically want to know: 1. Is it clear who this is for? 2. Is the problem I'm addressing coming through? 3. Is this a topic that would genuinely interest coaches? Thank you all in advance🙌 This is the ad: Why Another Business Strategy Won't Get You More Clients She called me on a Thursday afternoon. Impatient. Excited. Buzzing with five new ideas. A second community. A new offer. A different niche. Start again somewhere else. I let her finish. Then I had to be honest. Because four months earlier, my client Q had 4 members in her Skool group. Stuck at that number for months. Back then we made a plan. She followed it. Two weeks later -> 80 members. A month after that ->120 members Then she disappeared. No posts. No replies. I reached out. No response. Weeks of silence. When she finally came back she said something I haven't forgotten: "Something was holding me back from even opening your message." Not busy. Not life getting in the way. Something stopping her from even looking at it. That's not a strategy problem. So we sat down together. Not to fix her strategy. Her strategy was fine. But to rewire what was actually happening under the surface. Today Q posts every single day. She shows up. She creates content. She presents in a way she never was before. And continues to grow her community. Not because she found a better system. But because we addressed the thing the system couldn't touch. The strategy is rarely the problem. It's the belief underneath that decides whether you follow it or not. This Thursday at 7 pm CET I'm hosting a free live workshop inside my Skool community. It's called: How to Scale Your Coaching Business to the Next Level Without Another Business Blueprint Even If You've Been Stuck in the Same Place for Years. I'm going to show you exactly where these patterns come from, why another system won't fix them, and what actually does.

@Alexandra Alexa yeah, and people also disregard how much personal problems affect businesses. The whole thing can collapse if you're anxious or sad about a specific personal problem, or not getting enough sleep, so stuff like that should also be adressed. That's the hardest part of a personal brand, we are pretty fragile as people and having the whole branding anchored on us can backfire badly if we are not okay.

Roast my About Page
I've been trying to send as much traffic to my about page and my conversion kept going down. So it was about time to update and begin to test. https://www.skool.com/memberflow/about I'm open to any and all feedback. I believe IMPerfect ACTion creates IMPACT and this is just another rep! Thank you in advance.

Hey @Brian Walsh. Let me tag first some relevant folks here: @Lau Brizuela @Laura Paulina @Kim M. @Lydia Lowery Busler @Des Dreckett First I love your camera presence. But 8 minutes for a VSL is too long. @Steve Gast has community that helps people make tight VSLs. But I get that since your community is paid for entry maybe you want to give out more clues on what people can find inside. The copy is tight but the offer itself is far from being unique and it doens't stand out by itself among the several other communities that help people build their businesses and get clients. The most unique thing in the about page is you. Your personality and your experience. That's why I was mostly interested in this after reading about your experience right at the bottom. Also there are no instructions or clues about what people can do inside, only on what you will do for them. And community is more about participating actively than consuming passively. So what I'm saying is that you could benefit from a list of things people can do inside your group. Post questions, ask for support, weekly live calls, challenges... that would make it feel more like a community.
