YouTube low-quality kids content anyone experienced this?
Hi everyone! need your opinion, insights , every opinion is welcome :) Long story short i have Greek children nursery rhymes and animated stories, and recently my channel was suspended from YPP for low-quality kids content (the latest ban wave for animation channels on YT). My appeal was rejected. I asked support what I need to improve, but they sent the general quality principles without identifying which category applies to my channel. I use AI tools for visuals, animation and music, with my own scripts, storyboards, creative direction and manual videoediting & DAW for the audio part. Has anyone here faced something similar and managed to understand what needed changing? If anyone has a few minutes, I would also appreciate honest feedback on this example. An example the Little Red Riding Hood classic story but in nursery rhyme style, lyrics are OC ( I wrote myself) and not a PD, the animation pacing with the lyrics, so the Greek language may make it harder to assess , I can provide an English translation if helpful. What, if anything, would you change to make the story clearer and more suitable for young children? I’m open to criticism and trying to understand what I may be missing. Each video took me around 40 hours, sometimes more, from lyrics, script and storyboard to production and post-production. Since begin of the channel, I have not deleted any of my videos, i kept them as a record of my progress, so I can look back see what worked and what didn’t, and improve the next one. Sorry for the long post <3 Thanks for you time! George

I watched your Little Red Riding Hood video. I don’t understand Greek, but I really enjoyed it. The melody is beautiful, the animation is lovely, and the storytelling is very thoughtful. I especially liked the way you changed the ending. Instead of showing violence, the hunter persuades the wolf to let the grandmother and the little girl go. Then all four characters hold hands and dance together. I think this is a very humane and positive message for children. That is why I was surprised to hear that your channel was considered “low quality.” Of course, I cannot know exactly what YouTube found during its review, so I do not want to make a definite conclusion. However, maybe the problem is not this particular video, but something related to the channel as a whole. You could check whether many videos use very similar templates, structures, characters, music, or production methods. Sometimes individual videos can be beautiful and creative, but the whole channel may still look repetitive or mass-produced to YouTube. It may also be useful to review the Shorts and any reused versions of longer videos. You could also check the titles, descriptions, tags, and keywords to make sure they accurately describe each video and do not look too repetitive. I hope you can find the exact reason and fix it. From the video I watched, I can see that you put a lot of care and creativity into your work. Please don’t give up. I think your channel deserves another chance.
back-and-forth, cartoons for musical education
Hello everyone from Italy! 👋 I’m Manuela Gorni—a music educator, a piano teacher specializing in instruction for children and beginners, and an animation enthusiast! I’d love to share my latest project with you. It’s an animated video I created by experimenting with a blend of different techniques and software. My goal is to produce cartoons or music videos for original compositions—crafted with specific parameters—to expand the musical vocabulary of both children and adults while simultaneously conveying messages with educational value. The tracks are an integral part of the audio materials for my piano method, which is inspired by E.E. Gordon’s Music Learning Theory (yes, the kind of thing music education nerds love!). This teaching approach involves a lot of movement, reflecting the deep parallels between acquiring musical language, motor skills, and spoken language. In this video, I wanted to explore two contrasting actions—"pulling and releasing"—to visually experience tension and relaxation. These are motor movements we encounter both when playing an instrument and in our everyday physical activity. So, in a way, perceiving this motor contrast helps nurture body awareness. For this project, I’m also trying my hand at music production and orchestration, using a hybrid approach that combines traditional composition, DAW work, and artificial intelligence. The bottom line is this: children love watching cartoons... but what if, while doing so, they could acquire real musical skills and expand their learning potential—simply by watching and listening to this clip? I really wanted to post the result here to thank you all: if I managed to bring my projects to life, it is also—and above all—thanks to the invaluable advice I received from Mark’s academy, the inspiration drawn from your work, and this fantastic community over the years. 🙏https://youtu.be/Zu6PGheLxlo?si=Y5lclyYm8xh0MfBL

Important Poll for AI Animation Masterclass
Big question for you. I need your honest vote. I’m at a crossroads with what to build next, and I want YOU to be the one who decides. Here are your two options: - Option A: Videos first, software second: I keep building out the weekly video lessons on schedule. You can see exactly what’s coming by clicking the curriculum link below. New modules drop consistently, you follow the step-by-step process, and we build the pipeline together lesson by lesson. - Option B: Software first, videos second: Instead of learning how to do each technique, you get a tool that does the technique for you, powered by AI. Here is what the software would include: - Brainstorm story ideas fast - Develop character psychology to build interesting characters quickly - Write and fix scripts line by line with AI assistance - Design characters with an integrated image generator - Build full storyboards shot by shot - Fix any shot to adjust camera angle or character position - Manually fix any panel with a built-in Photoshop-like editor - Put clips together with an online video editor - Advanced cinematography controls when generating your images, including: ∙ Close up ∙ Medium close up ∙ Full shot ∙ Over the shoulder ∙ Low angle / high angle ∙ Frontal, side, and 3-quarter view And this one is my favorite. - An AI coach assistant, available 24/7, powered by Claude. This is not a generic chatbot. It will have access to everything the video lessons are supposed to teach you. So instead of waiting for the next module, you ask a question, and you get the exact answer you need, right now, for your specific situation. Now here is something important regardless of which option wins. Whenever we start building the software, everyone in this community gets unlimited FREE credits for image generation and the AI chat assistant while we are in development. That is a gift from me to you for being here early. Video generation is more expensive to run, so that part will require a small pay-as-you-go investment when the time comes.

I voted for AI software first. As a beginner in animation, I know there are many things I don't even know that I don't know yet. Having AI tools available earlier would help me move forward faster, overcome knowledge gaps, and stay motivated while learning. I still want to learn the fundamentals through your lessons, but I think the software can help beginners like me apply what we learn more effectively.
