🧭 Your Book Needs Adventure AND Realism!
I love the adventure of storytelling. 🤩 🌟 The possibilities of what can happen! 🌟 The characters. 🌟 The unexpected places a story can take us. 🤯 But there's another side to writing a book that we can't ignore. 💥 REALISM 💥 Adventure asks: Where does this story want to go? Realism asks: What does getting there actually require? You need BOTH. 🙌 Dreaming about your book is exciting! 😆 But at some point, we need to look at what it will take to actually write it. ✍️ Maybe you need to make time for writing. ✍️ Maybe you need to figure out how your ideas connect. Or maybe you have plenty of pages written, but you're not sure what comes next. 🤔 That's why I don't believe in forcing every writer down the same path. Your story is different. Your writing process can be, too. 🌿 Here's today's challenge: Think about where you want your book to go. Then write down ONE thing you can do this week to move closer to that destination. Not ten things. Just one. 👇 What's your next step? Share it below so we can encourage each other! ❤️

@Dani Rosenblad James I like that you show up everyday. But if I'm brutally honest a lot of the posts feel like asking AI "what's an engaging question about writing books" I can feel that you really want to help but also your offer isn't clear or possibly aimed at me.

@Dani Rosenblad James I guess people doing what I'm doing, getting the pages in. That's why my group is an accountability group, trying to find people putting in the reps every day.
My Book Is Taking Longer Than I Planned
I really thought I'd be further along by now. 😂 My fantasy book has taken longer than I originally planned. And you know what? I'm learning to be okay with that. ❤️ I'm learning from my characters. ❤️ I'm figuring out what works for me as a writer. ✍️ ❤️ I'm running The Storyteller's Path. ❤️ I'm spending time with my family. ❤️ I'm living my life. ❤️ And I'm still writing. 📖 That's something I've had to remind myself of. A writing journey doesn't have to look perfect to be real. I'm learning things through writing my own book that also help me understand the writers I work with in completely different ways. So I'm not rushing this experience away. I'm living it. Learning from it. And continuing to write. ✍️ Now I want to hear about YOUR journey. Has your book taken longer than you originally expected? What has the journey taught you? Share it in the comments! 👇

I feel your pain, I've had to make more updates and re-read throughs of my first 3 chapters than I thought by a huge factor. But I refuse to lower quality.

Can I Give You One Piece of Advice?
If you only remember one thing this week, let it be this: Stop trying to write your entire book. 📕 Write today's page. That's it. Books aren't written all at once. They're written one decision at a time. One writing session at a time. One page at a time. Sometimes more if you’re in the flow. But it always comes down to taking that step to write and get yourself to stay consistent with it. What's today's page for you? 📃

Yes one page a day!
Why I Still Write
Since I was kid, writing has been a passion of mine! There are times when writing feels effortless. Other days, it feels like every sentence has to be earned. 🏆 I still have days where I question a chapter. Rewrite scenes. Wonder if a character is working. That's part of writing. ✍️ It's also why I understand the writers I work with. I'm not standing on the sidelines cheering you on. I'm walking this road too. One page at a time. One chapter at a time. One story at a time. We're in this together. 💛 Share what you are working on!
