Success means very little if you have nobody you feel present with. Your partner doesn’t always need another gift. Your family doesn’t always need another promise. Sometimes they just need you. Put the phone down. Sit with them. Listen without trying to fix anything. Give them your full attention for a few minutes. Because building a good life isn’t only about what you achieve. It’s also about who gets to experience you while you’re building it.
