We've (my wife and I) been having a rough time lately. Our 3-year-old has been... very challenging, work stuff has piled up, we've had no time for ourselves, and so on. We got into a fight, had about two days of barely talking to each other, and then started to work things out. During our conversation, the kid was doing his usual thing - playing with toys and occasionally asking some questions. My wife shared that she was feeling an unexplained sadness and had the urge to cry. Being a bit confused, I figured - let's try BK. So I checked the emotion involved and did the appropriate reflexes. What happened next looked like a snowball effect. First, Kate (my wife) said she didn't feel like crying anymore. A few minutes later, she started playing with the dog. A few minutes after that, she started joking around and became very energetic. Then, all of a sudden, the kid picked up on it too - he started running around, jumping, and joking. I'm just standing there, observing from the side, wondering how my wife's therapy turned into the kid's therapy - or maybe the other way around. Two days later, Artur (the kid) is nowhere near the level of negative emotions he'd been displaying before. Guess the next time he's down, I'll just check on my wife.
