@Maurice Daher Hi Maurice, Here is an update. 1. My period came 30 days late ( it came on 28 April. I can see I have serious progesterone and estrogen issues). My period should be due in one week, so I’ll see what happens this month. 2. On 2nd May I started to up my dosage of Celtic sea salt. I’ve been playing between 1tsp - 1tsp & 1/2. I still have reflux but it has dramatically improved. ( prior to the 2nd may I was not using salt nearly enough as I should have. Your article on salt helped me realise this). Still have reflux in the night and reflux plays about in the day, but I am only two weeks in of going all in with salt and I am thinking it will take some more time to go. 3. Since taking salt I have noticed: I am more alert in the day. I normally take a natural adaptogen to keep me focused in the day. These past few months I was getting concerned for my fatigue and concentration as I had to up my dose to two tablets. Since 2nd May I have dropped back down to one tablet. I have more focus and energy and I am more awake. I don’t take salt after 4pm unless it’s with my meal. However I think salt has impacted my sleep. My normal pattern for insomnia is between 1-3, but since 2nd May my sleep pattern has been consistently 1-3 and at times I am up for the full three hours and then round 4 I want to sleep but I have to be up at 5am for work. Generally falling asleep quicker. At times I can be asleep by 9-9:30. I have been having short dreams, which is generally unusual for me. I’ve been prioritising rest and relaxation lately, and when I wake at 1am I am I am not stressed. 4. Stool hasn’t changed much. I have days where it is more solid and then it goes back to runny. Since I have been carnivore I have never had properly formed stool. 5. I have upped my fat to round 90g using butter and chicken wings. I have had binges of dark chocolate ( 85-90%) where I’ve gone way over that amount of fat, but I don’t feel it has impacted reflux much. I don’t like the binges I have had on dates, sweets and chocolate. Kicking that to the curb and going to find an alternative solution. I keep forgetting that reflux can kick off the next day. Ten weeks till my 41st birthday and I would love to further improve reflux, and sleep. I find I work better with timeframes. 6. I am constantly reminded of my gallbladder issues so I try to spread fat over all meals. I have noticed that when I am up between 1-3 I do feel my gallbladder twinge. At times it then moves across to the left side. Most of the time I feel bloating in the morning which is why I feel better eating at 8am as I feel my upper stomach is settled. It is a feeling I have got used to over the years and never thought to mention. Currently on 3 meals a day. Meals have been the same and predictable, increasing volume and fat. Currently wake up at 5 and have salt and electrolytes. Breakfast 8am, lunch 12:30 -1 and dinner just after five but definitely no food after 6pm. Still taking taurine and glycine.
