You told me where you're stuck. Here's what I found 👀
Hey everyone! 🖤 Yesterday I DMed 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 of you personally with one question: 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐰? A third of you answered, and the answers overlapped a lot. Here are the top 3 issues you agreed on: 🔥 #1: Time / consistency: Life is busy, and it's hard to keep going week after week. 🔥 #2: Pitching: Not knowing what to say to brands, or whether to hit send. 🔥 #3: Finding clients / retainers: Not knowing where the paying clients are, or how to turn one deal into monthly income. (Confidence, content, and pricing came up too.) Here's what surprised me: 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬𝐧,𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦. You can make the content. What's in the way is finding the time, getting in front of brands, and turning that into paying clients. One more thing stood out: 𝟗𝟓.𝟓% 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧,𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐲𝐞𝐭. That's not a callout. It's good news, because Day 3 is all about pitching the brand, which is one of your top blocks. 𝐒𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞,𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏: 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐝. 📚 It's 3 days, and there are 5 days until October. One day at a time, you'll have time to spare. These issues are fixable, but more information won't fix them. Small actions, done consistently, with people cheering you on will. So that's what October is for. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 $𝟓𝐊 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 is built around exactly what you told me: ✅ Short weekly actions that fit a busy schedule ✅ Real pitching practice, so hitting send gets easier every week ✅ A focus on finding paying clients, not just making content ✅ Accountability here in the group, so you're not doing it alone 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐏𝐒 & 𝐀𝐂𝐗𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐎𝐓𝐓 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐒 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐁𝐄 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐑 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐎𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐁𝐄𝐑 𝐇𝐈𝐓𝐒. Lock in for October (takes 2 minutes): 🔒 Comment below with: 1️⃣ The day you'll finish Brief to Paid. Pick a date before October 1. Saying it out loud makes it real. 2️⃣ Come back and reply "Done ✅" to your own comment when you finish, so we can all celebrate you. 🎉 A win is a win! 3️⃣ Tag one member to finish with you. You'll keep each other honest.

Hey Rebecca, is there such thing as "High ticket" opportunities? Barbie and I were thinking...Luxury Yachts, cruise lines, sexy boats, 5 star all inclusive vacations? Things like that.
HOKA is hiring… 6 figure salary!!
HOKA is looking for someone to shape their social storytelling and own the brand voice across every platform… They’re looking for someone to build the narratives, not just the content. Developing short-form video, carousels, statics, and captions. Shaping tone of voice. Going on set with directors and photographers. Staying ahead of culture and trends before they hit. This is a creative leading a brand’s whole social presence, not just filling a content calendar. This one’s a step up, and that’s worth naming. It asks for 5+ years and a real track record turning ideas into culturally relevant content. If that’s not you yet, let it be the target you’re building toward instead of the ceiling you stop at. Apply IF you’ve got the experience behind you, you know how to turn a brand campaign into a platform-native story, and you’re ready to own a voice instead of just executing someone else’s brief. This is what it looks like when your skills become a career, not just a gig. Dropping the apply link in comments 👇

Great job taking action and re-filming with a fresh hook, Lindsey! Testing different angles with products you already have on hand is the best way to sharpen your skills. A few quick takeaways from this version: 1. Visual Engagement in the Hook: Opening with outdoor action immediately sets a dynamic scene compared to a static setup. Getting the product in frame within the first 1–2 seconds will hook pet owners even faster before they scroll past. 2. Text Overlay Placement: Overlaying the text and watermark cleanly keeps the main subject front and center. Keeping key callouts bold and centered ensures sound-off viewers catch the core message right away. 3. Clear CTA: Tying the hook directly into a clear product benefit or purchase recommendation gives the viewer a distinct reason to take action at the end. Love seeing the continuous iteration, keep testing those different hooks! 🐾

I feel like in just the short time I’ve been here my prospective and understanding of content has evolved so much. I’m focusing now on books and CTAs that align with goals and viewing my content creation from a new lens. I’ve also realized I start a lot of my videos as talking head videos. It started as comfort and even more than that, not knowing better but I’m learning 😂 Below is a video I just finished for a skincare brand. Ironically they were my first (and only at this time paid UGC video) which i got as an inbound when I posted my portfolio video and tagged them on IG. They wanted a free collab but I was able to negotiate payment. I wanted to create a different feel for this video and more of curiosity with my hook and a product purchase CTA. The video below is the newest video I finished today, id love feedback. I also attached my first video with this brand in the comments in case anyone is interested too. Thanks!

Great progress, Kitty! Transitioning from standard talking head videos to curiosity driven hooks is a huge milestone in video strategy. A few quick takeaways from watching this one: 1. The Hook Style: Leading with curiosity over a flat intro immediately raises watchtime potential. B-roll cutaways or showing the product in action within the first 1.5 seconds will pull the viewer in even faster before you transition to speech. 2. Text & Captions: Your text placement is clean and easy to read. Ensuring the key value proposition is highlighted in bold or high-contrast text helps skim-viewers catch the message with the sound off. 3. Negotiation Win: Huge congrats on converting a free collab request into a paid deal! That mindset shift alone proves you're operating like a business partner rather than just taking whatever is offered. Keep pushing these dynamic hooks, the evolution in your angles is definitely showing! 👏
