OOTD - Monday 24 August
Again it is an Early Monday start for me, the 0400 wake-up to get ready for the 0500 teams call. The house comes to life, the sun rises over the hills and the real day starts at 0600 when I wake up my eldest daughter to get ready for school followed by waking my youngest at 0700. Sometimes between those two times my wife wakes and gets ready for her workout. I tend to leave the call early and make sure I am helping around 0720. That is the time I walk my eldest to the bus stop. At 0800 my wife leaves for work anf at 0815 my youngest and I walk to school. Thats my Monday morning, I went for a walk to find a place for my regualr outfit shoot, chose the same place as last week, but without the fig it looks a lot brighter, even with the dead looking trees. I hope you all have as terrific 35th week of 2026. Todays outfit consists of; Brixton Barrel Snap Cap in Moss/Sand Oxford Woolrich Mason Overcoat in Dark Olive M.J. Bale Bowning Suit in Green, woven in Italy into a Super 110s twill with a subtle two-tone micro pupstooth weave OTAA Pacelli Pink Oxford Shirt OTAA Canterbury Green with Royal Red Striped OTAA Mr Bandito Wool Pocket Square OTAA Geen Polk-a-dot socks Ducapo Deep Green Monkstrap SOTD - Tom Ford Noir Extreme WOTD - Tudor Royal 41 with Silver Dial

That's way too early for a Teams call. Good thing you're looking good.
OOTD August 23rd
Charles Tyrwhitt blue linen shirt with rolled sleeves over tan Twillory performance shorts. Beckett Simonon brown suede sneakers with Monterey Kitty Hawk blue dial watch and Happyland Moore Azul and Stetson Aficionado hat. Forgot my best today. Shorts stayed up! Trip to the hospital to see my wife's cousin. She is doing much better eating solid food and moved her left hand a bit. Another cousin I haven't seen in awhile said I was dresses like I was on vacation. Told him it's the weekend!

Felt like some casual suit action today, so I put my hair in a pineapple today. Have my pocket square in & my S.O.G. pin on; ready for the weekly meeting. SOTD is: Zino by DAVIDOFF

Trains birds and shortbread
We planned our day around Deans Shortbread and the Keith to Dufftown Whiskey train. Threw on my new tattersall and burgundy silk/wool club tie over my Orvis duck cloth khakis (so old and faded now they anre more of an almost cream color). Duff town is home to GlenFiddich and Balvenie. The old train is a 1960 version. Fun hour and half ride down and back by several distilleries. The highlight of the day was probably the falconry the big bird is an Eurasian Sea Eagle. Right now we are sitting at the ice cream shop at the port city of Portsoy (part of Peaky Blinders was filmed here at the 17 century port on the North Sea)

She handled that like an old pro!
New pants
We're officially in the dog days of summer. I've been on the hunt for a pair of linen blend pants for work. Finding ones that work for the beach is easy; Finding ones I could wear to work has been more difficult. But last week I saw (thanks to dappered.com) that Banana Republic had some and they were on sale for $48 (normally $120). I decided to roll the dice and order them. They're getting their inaugural wearing today. The heat index is currently 104 (F), so a good day to try them out. First off, I was surprised by how incredibly light they are compared to regular chinos. A huge difference right off the bat. They're 55 percent linen and 45 percent cotton. I just went out for a quick walk and they made a huge difference. I didn't come back feeling like my bottom half was an oven. Plus, I don't see any real difference, wrinkle wise, between these and regular chinos. I'm declaring them a huge win and will be looking to get more colors to mix into my summer rotation. BTW, taking pants selfies is not easy.
