I've been an actor for over 30 years. In that time, I learned about the power of storytelling to transform lives. -Sometimes disturbing transformations, sometimes inspiring ones. I learned about the theatre and mythologies, movies and television and online with YouTube when it first came out. I knew what the future was bringing and I wanted to create something all my own, with no ethnic stereotypes or height differences dictating my capacity for role-playing. In fact, I wanted to quit playing rolls and just be as close to my authentic self as possible while on camera. I started The Rena Nicole Show, (still on YouTube today) in 2009. After a series of unfortunate events, I retired the show and my production company and moved from San Francisco, CA to my hometown along the Russian River in northern California. During Covid, a friend of mine was developing a GPT that he gave me to try as an experiment for transformational storytelling. I was one of the first people to used it, saw the potential and ran with it. My own "Storyteller Reading" is available to read in my community, Our Peaceful Liberation, for people who've achieved Level 8 on my leaderboard. I coined "Storyteller Readings" by pulling from the idea of a fortune teller reading, as the stories I perform stem from current challenges people are facing in their lives. I don't tell you your fortune so much as I tell you your next chapter, the one where you succeed, where you go from trial to triumph, and I tell it to you in a way that you can imagine it, not just through story, but also through song. I found the Suno app for creating music, (which was my minor in college), and discovered that I could compose songs that would go along with the stories I was telling. I call them Hero's Anthems, because in a way, that is exactly what they are, a song that tells the story of the hero and how they came to be.
