Important Announcement! UK VAT and Multi-Discounts
Hey guys, Just a little video to announce some changes happening soon! Two major changes: VAT on UK orders will be coming soon. We should have been charging this for a long time but due to the complexity of our business model it took us a while to set up 😆 This does mean UK prices will increase by 20%. But don't panic, the expected profits we always refer to actually already includes 20% VAT being charged. So with our recommended pricing, you will still profit £24 for a 24x36" print and £60 for a 24x36" framed print! We have basically been making a loss on UK orders for a long time as we are still liable for VAT despite not charging it lol (I don't wanna talk about the size of our VAT bill) So don't panic about the increase, this still leaves you with plenty of room for profit, and we are still much more competitive than the competition, as they of course also have to charge VAT on top of the website prices they display :) HOWEVER, GOOD NEWS! To help soften the blow we are happy to announce a pretty major change, which is a discount on multi orders! Going forward, all print orders of 3+ prints will receive a 20% discount! This can lead to a lot of extra profit in your guys pocket for bigger orders, and should make a really healthy difference to your take home figures. This is across ALL countries, not just the UK! These changes will launch at the same time, likely in the next couple of weeks. Just finalising the last bits to have our VAT number up and running. We will of course update you closer to the time 🫡 As we say in the video, THANK YOU all for using PrintShrimp!! We love being able to build this company and community every single day and cannot imagine our lives without it. We have a lot more coming soon include our own poster marketplace, giving you guys an extra platform to sell your art on (with lower fees than Etsy 😉)! Please let us know any feedback, improvements, or ideas you may have for changes you would like to see with PrintShrimp ⬇️

When will the multi discount start?
1 star review
A customer has given us 2 1 star reviews because she said, her words (I paid to have these arrives as framed) even though she clearly chose the print only option. She thought she was getting 2 24x36" inch frames prints for £95. So not sure what planet she is living on. She chose the wrong option even though we provided what she asked for in the drop down menus when you're buying something. I've messaged to see if she's willing to take off the reviews as we've now gone from a 4.7 to 4.2 rating. I just don't get people sometimes!

UPDATE: she was 86 year old lady not used to online shopping and her family pointed out to her what she received was exactly what she had ordered and she owed us a thousand apologies. She now has changed them both to 5 star reviews and thanked us for our customer service and kindness. Guess being nice does go a long way sometimes! 😅
Profit margins?
So I recently had a sale from Canada for 11x14 inch poster. I try and keep my pricing structure reasonable especially regarding the rest of world prices since we can only set up 3 prices for each listing. But after all costs and etsy fees, the profit was only £1.77!!!. Is anyone else finding the margins difficult in countries like Canada for example? If so, what are people doing to tackle this? Many thanks!

the only problem i'm having is in order to increase the profit margin for some sizes i am then increasing the price for every other country and may lose out on potential sales if i feel its marked too high?

fair enough, i will look into this further! Thanks again
Changed mind on print size
Hi there, a customer received an A3 size as requested, has now received the order but wants A4 now. Our shop policy is no returns or exchanges. As the customer is UK based, do we by law have to refund the amount to them or does print on demand artwork come under the exemption for the 14 day refund law within the UK/EU. Many thanks!

Tracking Now Added to Your Etsy Orders Automatically!
Happy Saturday gang - good news! If you've noticed your Etsy shop has disconnected from PrintShrimp this morning then don't panic! That is intentional on our part and all you need to do is reconnect We did this because your PrintShrimp tracking will now automatically sync to Etsy when you get a sale! So, you no longer need to spend the time copy and pasting over order details into Etsy. It will happen automatically whenever tracking is added into your PrintShrimp account 😎 Thanks as always for using PrintShrimp! We have a lot more coming soon - including software that will completely automate the uploading of products to Etsy 🤓
