Never get locked in the mind. I don't mind moving mindfully, as long as I FEEL alive in my body if you do not mind ♡
LABEL MATTER?
LABEL help us communicate, diagnoses can bring enormous relief, guide treatment, and help people find others with similar experiences. Job titles, identities, and communities give us a sense of belonging. --> The problem isn't the label- the problem is when we stop seeing ourselves beyond it. When "I have ADHD" quietly becomes "I can't change." When "I'm anxious" becomes "This is who I am." When "I'm the strong one" means you never ask for help. Research suggests labels can shape how we see ourselves and how others respond to us. They can reduce confusion and increase support, but they can also contribute to stigma or a more fixed sense of identity if we allow the label to define our entire story. At BODY_KNOWS_, I believe awareness comes before identity. Notice your patterns. Understand your diagnosis. Honor your experience. But remember: You are always more than the words used to describe you. Your body is still learning. Your brain is still changing. And your story is still being written.

Dear Zina, I am talking less and constantly trying—now more than ever—to sense what is happening inside me. I notice that I very quickly slip into my "work mode"—the stance I’ve adopted in life for a long time—because it distracts me from deeper, more pressing questions or layers... and gives me a "safe" feeling that I matter. However, I *have* actually started Rebalancing therapy in person, because I keep falling back into *too many* old habits. I am sharing this here with you and the others because I’ve found that openness helps us all move forward.

I hadn't realized before just how deeply the impact of a toxic relationship could affect me. I thought—or told myself—that I could simply shake it all off, like a dog running into the water and coming back out... that sort of image. But all that self-doubt just took deeper root. I found my way to you through Instagram—specifically, the breathwork. It really moves me. Or rather, what you offer resonates with me, as does the way you present it—with genuine care and when you’re feeling good yourself. I can sometimes "sense" that in the visuals; I’m not insensitive, after all—even as a man. :) as you can see and read, so many words and i forget to breathe most of times, also due to pressure in work...I do find myself laughing—getting the giggles—but I am keenly aware that I’m not connecting with myself deep down inside; I’m struggling to manage it due to a lack of focus (short attention span), which is why I’ve just started a one-on-one program to help give direction to the vague dilemma I’m facing. Long story short, I’m staying tuned and trying to connect the dots to regain a sense of structure where I feel safe—where I can reclaim my self-confidence and grow. I wish this for everyone from the bottom of my heart: connecting with yourself, and from that place, connecting with the world around us. t h a n k y o u a l l
Qigong with SAM @Samuel Lawrence
If you want to build a body that feels good to live in Become harder to stress and easier to be around Stop leaking energy and start building it Align with the seasons, animals, and nature Train so you have more life outside of training. Then you may want to check out The Five Animal Frolics & Five Element Qigong routines. My friend Sam is opening 6 spots for a 12-week live group experience. This won't be a massive course where you get lost in the crowd. It's a small group where you'll receive personal guidance, direct feedback, and support from him and others walking the path alongside you. Whether you're completely new to Qigong or have been practicing for years, this program is designed to help you build a deep, embodied practice you can carry into daily life. Weeks 1–5: Five Animal Frolics: Bird, Deer, Tiger, Monkey, and Bear each have five playful, powerful movements to reconnect with your body, build energy, and embody your natural animal qualities. Live for 1.5 - 2 hours every Tuesday & Thursday for theory, guided practice, review, and Q&A. Weeks 6–12: Five Elements: learn how each element complements the Animals to create a complete seasonal system for cultivating energy, emotional balance, and resilience. By the end, you won't just know the movements; you'll have a practice that grows with you for life, the confidence to practice on your own, and the ability to share it with friends and family. You'll leave with: - A consistent Qigong practice - Greater energy and endurance - Improved emotional regulation - A supportive community - Confidence sharing these practices with others Schedule a quick call with him here https://calendly.com/qivida/1-on-1-qigong These calls are for figuring out if this next container is a good fit for you. Sam wants to help, and even if he doesn’t get you into this small group, he can figure out a solution to get you going towards your goal in the next few months.

I ♡ the word 'playfull'
TODAY we FOCUS
Where attention goes, energy follows. Most people do not lack motivation; their attention is simply scattered, pulled in too many directions at once by phones, people, fear, possibility, pressure, the next idea, unfinished conversations, and the mistakes they keep replaying. When everything feels important, nothing receives your full presence. This week, we train focus—not by forcing concentration, becoming rigid, or shutting everything else out, but by developing the ability to choose where your attention goes and stay connected to that choice. Focus is the ability to say: This is where I am going now. And remain in relationship with that decision, even when something tries to pull you away. Because under challenge, attention naturally drifts—to a sound, a thought, a mistake, a notification, someone else’s reaction, or the fear of doing it wrong—and suddenly your body is here, but your attention is somewhere else. This is where training begins, not when you are perfectly focused, but in the moment you notice: “I left.” And choose to return. This week, observe what pulls you first: whether your eyes search for something else, your mind jumps ahead, a single mistake takes you out, or you chase what feels urgent instead of staying with what matters, abandoning your body in the process. We practice staying with one point, one rhythm, one direction, one chosen task, and then gradually introduce distraction—more input, more noise, more change—so that focus becomes a skill you can maintain under pressure. The question is not whether you can concentrate perfectly, but whether you can choose what deserves your attention and stay with it. Can you notice distraction without following it, make a mistake without giving it all your energy, feel pressure without letting it decide for you, and return to what matters again and again? This is focus—not the absence of distraction, but the ability to return. Your practice this week is simple: before you begin any task, pause and ask yourself,

I paint, and yoga keeps me from drifting off, learning to play guitar gives the chaos a voice;) It’s honest and that for me is important.
