I filmed a quick section of colour blending on Wil’s Marvel sleeve today. Honestly this sleeve has more complicated blends than any tattoo I’ve ever done. Because I overlapped comic book art into a collage design & faded between images. I’m going to upload that this week with a voiceover explaining what i’m doing & why. This is pretty high level colour tattooing, but hoping you can all take something from watching this. And please understand that if you ask questions in the feed, I’ll make posts to answer! I added some of our photos & if you follow my Ig, you can see all of these tattoos are part of one sleeve, on one awesome client. I would like to show some more basic techniques & figured the best way to do this could be on fake skins. I haven’t used a fake skin in 10 years & back then they were pretty bad! 🤣 I know brands may vary by country, but just wondered - What fake skins are you guys using? It could be helpful for me to use a similar kind & also, I’m sure it would be helpful for other early stage artists to hear your experiences! I’m in the process of putting together a critique video. This could become a topic for upcoming live calls as well if it interests you guys. I know we're not all in Canada & our group does span a few countries. Thanksgiving in Canada is a day to be with family & appreciate all we have. I do think its really important to take time to focus on gratitude. ✨️ So here's my share - I'm incredibly grateful to live with my family in this amazing town in Canada. I opened my studio here at the begining of this year & it has been so good building this new part of my business. This has been my dream for over a 10 years, actually longer than I've been tattooing. And I'm grateful that this community & my coaching is growing. So thank you to you guys who have been showing up. This can't work without you! I’ve had such a great week! It has been busy, but I like busy when I’m working on great projects with awesome people! I had a visit from @Marissa Scott, one of our members, who came for two days starting her Medusa leg sleeve & also we talked a lot about tattooing! Thats always a win win for both of us. My client Trav came & we put a second session into his life & gaming mash-up sleeve. Then I put our second to last session into Mikes Disney/Star Wars sleeve. I love seeing parts connect at this point in our journey together. One more session on his forearm & hand, coming soon! (All photos added below. Any questions just let me know!).
