Operators. Standard Two of the Twelve: Set the Floor. Yesterday you decided who owns the day. Today you decide what still happens on the days you do not. A ceiling is the number you hit when everything lines up. A floor is the number you refuse to go under when nothing does, and only one of those two has ever been tested. A man loses this Standard by sizing his floor for his best day. He builds a rep that fits a clear calendar and a full night of sleep, runs it nine days, then meets a week with travel, a sick kid and a deadline. He misses once and quits the whole thing, because the number was never built to survive contact. That is not a discipline problem. The number was wrong. You are not broken. You are unbuilt. Sunday is where the floor gets set, because the week has not started arguing with you yet. One action before noon: take the one standard you keep missing, cut its floor in half, and write the new number where you will still see it on Wednesday. Then run it today at that number, even though today you could run more. Running the floor on an easy day is how you find out it holds on a hard one. Hold the line.
