new model drops changed nothing for my bots
most new model drops change nothing for the stuff i actually build. my bots run the same way they did months ago because the prompt and the workflow do the heavy lifting, not the version number. the only time i felt a real jump was when the old model kept dropping steps in longer chains, so what would make u actually switch?

same tbh, the dropped steps is the only thing that would make me switch. had a 7 step chain that kept skipping the validation at the end till i split it into smaller calls. a model that runs the whole chain clean without me babysitting would do it for me
i automated my whole morning and got slower
automating your boring daily stuff with ai is kinda overrated imo. i spent a whole weekend wiring my inbox and calendar up and still ended up babysitting the output every morning. what's one thing u automated that actually saved you time, not just looked cool?

the babysitting bit is so real, my inbox thing needed checking too. only one that actually saved time was dumb: auto-filing client invoices into a folder. boring but i never think about it now

lol "no skills, no degree, open to literally everyone" is the exact opener on the fake job ones that ask for your bank details by day 2. def don't send anyone money or details for this.
stopped writing long prompts, outputs got way better
switched from writing huge prompts to pasting one example of what i want and the outputs got way more consistent. xml tags for the instructions helped on longer stuff but felt like overkill for small tasks ngl. which one do u guys actually prefer

same, one good example beat my 40 line prompt every time. xml only earns its keep for me when there's multiple steps, otherwise overkill tbh. do u paste a full output or just the format?
the ai part was easy, the stopping part wasnt
been automating my boring daily stuff and got stuck on the part where it has to decide when to ask me instead of just guessing. got it 70% there but that last bit keeps breaking. how'd u guys get past that?

@Kvk Helper haven't watched that one either, only seen the title. does it actually cover the when-to-ask bit or mostly the guessing side?
