Self determination theory
Want to unlock lasting, long-term drive in your business, health, and fitness? Moving past temporary extrinsic rewards requires understanding Self-Determination Theory (SDT), developed by psychologists Edward Deci and Richard Ryan. SDT proves that people are fundamentally driven by a deep need to grow, overcome challenges, and achieve mastery. True fulfillment; whether you are scaling an enterprise or transforming your physique requires three core psychological pillars: 1. Competence: Building the exact skills, habits, and physical capabilities needed to achieve mastery and win. 2. Relatedness: Surrounding yourself with a strong support system where you can care for others and be supported in return. 3. Autonomy: Operating with the freedom to act in strict alignment with your true self-image, rather than chasing hollow external validation. Relying solely on external rewards can actually sabotage your drive by undermining your sense of autonomy. To build unbreakable discipline, you must anchor your efforts in intrinsic motivation. Ready to build true competence, find your community, and master your autonomy? Create a healthier life inside The Den. #business #fitness

Create Flow
Want to experience peak performance and genuine happiness in your day-to-day work and personal life? According to positive psychology research, the secret lies in unlocking flow - a state where you feel entirely immersed and energized. Based on Csikszentmihalyi's framework, here is how you can systematically engineer flow starting today: 🥊Define Clear Goals: Establish sharp, focused targets to create a baseline against which you can measure your feedback. 🥊Seek Immediate Feedback: Build systems that provide rapid indicators of progress, allowing you to make instant adjustments and stay balanced. 🥊Balance Skill and Challenge: Ensure your current tasks are neither too easy (leading to boredom) nor too difficult (triggering anxiety). You want to target that high-skill, high-challenge sweet spot mapped out in flow state matrices. 🥊Invest in the Outcome: You cannot experience flow if you aren't genuinely excited about what you are building. Minimise distractions and stay fully vested. Physical training, fitness, and martial arts serve as the ultimate testing ground to train your nervous system, balance challenge with capability, and anchor your mind into the present moment. Ready to master your focus, transform your mindset, and build relentless discipline?

Create Flow
It’s too hard
Change is hard. Discipline is demanding. Often, true encouragement feels entirely silent. That is precisely the point. When you choose to take massive action despite the odds stacked against you, you transform into something far greater than just a fit individual. You become a beacon of inspiration for those who never had it easy, and for those who lacked the support systems others take for granted. That is the mission: to completely shatter your limitations and forge your own path. See you inside The Den. #inspiration #fitness

It’s too hard
Imagine
Imagine that you're in a movie, and imagine the movie begins now. You are the hero of the movie. What would that guy do? What would that guy do right now? Because you are. When a major project blows up at work and you miss your training sessions, it is easy to slip into the trap of feeling helpless. Here is how you apply the ABCDE principles to break that cycle and act like the hero of your own story: A: Activating Event: Missing consecutive training sessions because work stress took over. B Belief: Telling yourself, "I always mess this up, I have no discipline, I'm falling apart." C Consequence: Letting that narrative tank your mood, spike your anxiety, and make you want to quit entirely. D Dispute: Stepping back to challenge those thoughts. Ask yourself: Is this permanent, or is it just a temporary hurdle? Are you catastrophizing a minor setback, or can you find a more resourceful interpretation? E Energizing: Shifting your internal state from a helpless 2 to a resourceful 7 on your happiness scale through intentional attributional retraining. Stop waiting for circumstances to change. Step into the arena, dust yourself off, and execute like the lead in your own life. Your new self is waiting. Looking for fitness, health, and mindset solutions? @Lisa Kilby awesome!!!
Stick with the game plan long enough
Don't Abandon the Plan Before the Habit Takes Hold Real transformation doesn't happen overnight. It happens when you stick with a game plan long enough for it to become second nature. Every single day, you’re making a choice. You’re either reinforcing your old habits - reaching for sugary foods and quick snacks - or you’re strengthening the skill of choosing the healthier option. It takes raw discipline to say no to short-term comfort. You build that discipline by tracking your wins. Log every victory. 💥Said no to the late-night sugar crash? Track it. 💥Hit your movement targets for the day? Track it. 💥Chose the planned meal over convenience food? Track it. Small or massive, tracking those wins proves to your own brain that you’re changing. It builds real confidence and cements your new identity as an athlete. Stop switching strategies every two weeks. Lock into the process, track the wins, and let the habit take over. See you inside the den. 🐺
