Question of the day
What if the opposite of my most negative thoughts or assumptions is actually true? What would change in my current moo

the flip is such an underused move, most people just try to argue the negative thought down instead of asking what the opposite would actually feel like
Farrah
Hello im farrah. i am here because my passion is to help people. I am a trauma survivor and i do believe the power of your mind and body. and from one person who has been totally disconnected from her body, i believe healing is text book. it starts with in the body at a cellular level and its my passion to learn it, to know it , and to teach it. help bring healing and balance back into other trauma survivors life

welcome farrah. that line about healing starting at the cellular level, not just the mind, is exactly the piece most people skip until they've lived it themselves
how do you actually know a client's regulated between sessions?
had a client who swore they were fine every single week, then just hit a wall one day out of nowhere. made me realize i was trusting what they said way more than what their body was actually doing. do you go by their words, or do you look for something else - and what is that something else for you?

@Ginna Minervini that "neck up" phrase nails it, like they're reciting the answer instead of feeling it. the resistance when you invite them back into the body sounds like the real signal, more than anything they actually say
Hi everyone! 👋
I'm Beata from Massachusetts. I joined a while back because the nervous system has become such an important piece of both my personal and professional journey. Life became unexpectedly full after I joined, so I'm just now getting the chance to really dive into the community. I'm excited to learn from all of you. For those who've been here for a while... What originally brought you to somatic breathwork, and what's been the biggest shift you've noticed since you started?

life getting unexpectedly full and you still circling back says more about the pull than waiting around ever could
Moving emotions through
I am curious what it would look like to be someone who has mastery at moving emotions through in their life. A story in my head that comes up for me, is that that person may appear a bit weird unless they are amongst people who understand ? And maybe not even possible to do when in the presence of people who are not aware on how to hold space for it ? Is there a podcast or resource where I can understand this better, with examples ? Even some insight shared here ? Thanks <3

the weird read probably says more about the room than the mover - someone finishing a feeling instead of stuffing it only looks off to people who never learned to let one happen in front of them.
