Why Loom beats cold dms in 2026
Quick question. When did you last reply to a cold DM? Exactly. Here is why Loom wins right now, in plain terms. One. A video with your face in it proves you are a real person. Cold DMs do not. Two. It takes effort to record a Loom. Prospects can feel that effort, and effort gets replies. Three. Almost nobody is doing it well. The bar is so low that a decent 45 second video puts you ahead of 95 percent of people in their inbox. You do not need to be charismatic on camera. You need to be clear, specific, and short. 👉 If you sent your first Loom this week, tell me how it went in the comments. If you have not, what is stopping you? Be honest.

I agree. Loom definitely adds a personal touch and can stand out from the usual cold DMs. Personally, though, I prefer trying to close directly on a cold call when possible, and then using Loom or DMs as alternatives when a direct conversation isn’t possible.

Hi, my name is Adam, I’m from Ireland, and I am 20 years old. I am new to setting. I'm looking to learn a new skill alongside my current work as a Lifeguard and Pitch Maintenance with the goal of being comfortable allowing me to leave these jobs and carry on with a high ticket sales. For fun / Hobbies I like travelling, Sport and Gym My first question would be, how easy / difficult is it to balance whist working a flexible shift pattern?

Hey Adam! I came across your introduction and really liked your ambition to develop a valuable new skill alongside your current work. I respect that you're thinking long-term and looking to create more options for your future. Regarding your question, balancing sales with a flexible shift pattern can be manageable, especially when you plan your time and stay consistent. The key is to set aside dedicated time for prospecting, follow-ups, and learning, even when your work schedule changes. It takes commitment, but you don't necessarily have to leave your current jobs to start developing your sales skills. I'm currently expanding America Business AI and looking for motivated people to join a commission-based sales opportunity targeting businesses in the US and UK. The role involves learning the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals, with strong commission potential and a clear progression structure as you gain experience and deliver results. Previous sales experience isn't essential. I value people who are coachable, consistent, open-minded, and willing to put in the work to improve. I thought this opportunity might be worth exploring alongside your current work. Would you be open to hearing more about how it works?
