An addictive personality. You're just too emotional." These weren't criticisms from a multitude; they were words aimed directly at me, stripping away every ounce of confidence until I was left in a void, a darkness I never knew existed. And the strange thing is, looking back, I can't quite pinpoint why I let those words hurt me so profoundly. Because maybe, just maybe, I simply know how to love deeply.
