teaser for the next dozen or so weeks of live class ! Animism Supplemental Roadmap and Logos for Weeks 31–46 Purpose of This Supplemental This supplemental gives students a map of the animism portion of the course. Week 31 opened the doorway into animism as a living Northern worldview. From here, we will move step by step through the kinds of beings, forces, relationships, practices, and responsibilities that belong to an animistic world. This roadmap gives the intended shape of the arc, while leaving room for student questions and living development inside the work. This arc is not a detour. It is the ground beneath the course. The earlier weeks prepared the student to think clearly, perceive more honestly, question inherited structures, build inner vocabulary, recognize parts of self, and begin working with ancestral and spiritual relationships. The animism arc now brings those pieces into the living world. The central movement is simple: The world is not dead matter. The world is relationship. This section of the course will continue through Week 46. Week 46 closes this portion of the course, not the living practice itself. Animism is not something the student finishes. It is something the student learns to perceive, practice, and carry forward. The Logos of This Arc The word logos is used here as the inner logic, organizing principle, and living reason of the animism sequence. The logos of this arc is: Right relationship begins with right perception. A person cannot act rightly inside a relationship they cannot perceive. If land is treated as dead, conduct toward land becomes distorted. If the body is treated as a machine, the body is forced rather than heard. If ancestors are treated as gone, living memory is missed. If tools, animals, plants, food, and places are treated as mere objects, the relationships already present become invisible. If a being is named incorrectly, the response to that being will be distorted. Animism trains the student to perceive again.
