Welcome! My name is Shilo and I am so happy to build this community with you. I have been spinning for more than 15 years and learn much of what I know the hard way - on my own. My hope in bringing us together I can share what I have learned and help spinners elevate their skills. As a community, we have so much knowledge. I have discovered a new favorite spinning approach - just in time for October Spinning. Have you heard of 3-ply, two ways?!? It is a wonderful way to spin a beautiful braid and mix this up a bit. The results will make for a gorgeous pair of striped socks. This is a pretty rudimentary explanation, but I think it does the trick.

Spin for at least 10 minutes trying to spin as thin as you can. Comment with your answers to these questions: 1. How does this yarn compare to your default yarn From Challenge 1? 2. Is this thin yarn as thin as you would like it to be? 3. What, if anything, would you do to improve on this single? Can't wait to hear what you come up with!

Welcome to our little corner of the Skool community. I launched this channel to build a community for handspinners online and share what I have learned since my spinning journey began in 2010. With that said, I started this community VERY recently as 2025 is coming to a close. 2026 will bring many new and exciting things.
