Hello everyone! I have always been interested in words-gameplay, like Wordle, Connections, Spelling Bee and Crosswords. Recently I stumbled upon this game called Minute Cryptic. At first it seems like a non-sensical game to me because I didn't know the rules, and the answer was just absurd. But as I learned how to play it, I couldn't stop. It is so interesting how just one word could mean so many things, and even how you can make a fun riddles just off of one or two sentences. Now I'm looking forward everyday to solve the riddle! Hallo zusammen 😊 Ich wollte heute eine ganz persönliche Geschichte mit euch teilen. Englisch zu lernen war früher unglaublich schwer für mich. Am Anfang hatte ich schreckliche Angst davor, Fehler zu machen. Die Angst, unperfekt zu klingen, war so lähmend, dass ich mir nie hätte vorstellen können, fließend zu sprechen, geschweige denn im Ausland zu studieren und zu leben. Was für mich alles verändert hat, war die wunderbare Erfahrung, mich mit Menschen mit völlig unterschiedlichen Hintergründen zu verbinden und etwas über ihre Kulturen, ihr Leben und ihre Perspektiven zu lernen. Diese Neugier war am Ende stärker als meine Angst. Um mich zu verbessern, habe ich mich mit Dingen umgeben, die ich liebe: englische Filme und Serien schauen, Musik hören und ständig meinen Online-Freunden schreiben. Heute zeigt uns unser English Cafe, dass wir Fehler willkommen heißen sollten, denn bei echter Kommunikation geht es um Verständnis, nicht um Perfektion. Meine Frage an euch: Heutzutage haben wir Sprach-Apps, Online-Videos und fortschrittliche KI-Modelle (LLMs). Was ist euer Lieblingsweg, um Englisch zu üben und zu lernen? Learning English used to be incredibly hard for me. In the beginning, I was terrified of making mistakes. The fear of sounding imperfect was so paralyzing that I never imagined myself speaking it fluently, let alone studying and living abroad. What changed everything for me was discovering the beautiful feeling of connecting with people from completely different backgrounds and learning about their cultures, lives, and perspectives. That curiosity became stronger than my fear. To improve, I immersed myself in things I loved such as watching English films and series, listening to music, and constantly writing to online friends. Today, platforms like our English Cafe teach us to embrace our mistakes because true communication is about understanding, not perfection.

I’ve noticed that this community has an incredibly diverse mix of talents. I’m sure it’s not just about tech gurus and it’d be cool to get to know everyone better!
