Accidentally Bid & Won on Ebay auction Jean Lowe Fantasme
Never being on an Ebay Live auction before I carelessly clicked the bid button and won this. Supposed to be a dupe of LV Imagination. It's similar as olfactory memory serves as I've only smelled Imagination in a LV store. The Mrs. said she liked it so thats a win. The opening is nice but I'm reading its performance is lacking. Oh Well. Jean Lowe Fantasme by Maison Alhambra is a unisex fragrance released in 2026. Its composition opens with oud and cocoa, develops through patchouli, caramel, saffron, and rose, and settles into a base of leather, black currant, and frankincense, suggesting a rich blend of woody, resinous, sweet, and leathery face

Emper - Le Chameau: Village of New York Eau de Parfum (unisex)
Village of New York, Eau de Parfum A fragrance I will never wear, although it is very well made: complex, amazing sillage (+9 hours), projection 5 feet for first couple of hours before settling close to the skin , well presented packaging, high quality feel of a bottle. This was a blind buy from eBay (seller aromatic_raven , I highly recommend for authentic fragrances, including dupes that are marketed as their dupe name. No counterfeit). I strongly caution against buying from eBay because of all the counterfiet stuff out there. EBay does have buyer protection, but the hassle is still a hassle. aromatic_raven is a "small" scale seller that has given me only good experiences. I really like florals for men, but in a clean (aqua) way, with minimal fruity and no gourmand. I love a lot of EDT but detest the low staying power, so I tend to aim for EDP or Parfum. This is absolutely (for me) on the gourmand side. Opens with a strong , very sweet Lychee (like lychee candy) that immediately reminds me of a young woman (20's-early 30s) wanting to wear something feminine , fresh , and sweet for daytime errands, or going out for brunch mimosas with her girlfriends. The fragrance settles into bubblegum, fruity, pink florals , with a afterthought of musk and barely there woody base. The lychee remains there the entire time, and there is no doubt this is an actual EDP. This scent has solid staying power. This fragrance smells expensive, complex, and, very very traditional femme. I think everyone should wear what they want , but just know going into this scent that (imo) this is very much a traditional female scent that is very lychee bubblegum gourmand. I wouldnt agree this being marketed as unisex. From what I read, this is one of the better rated fragrances from this line made by Emper. This is the only one from the "New York" line I've ever smelled.

Le Chameau Village of New York Eau de Parfum. Marketed as unisex but its for sure leaning heavily towards a typical traditional female scent with lychee hitting heavy gourmand.

@Ryan Montalvo I love Dylan Blue but it has the staying power of a summer love : it was so good, but why did you leave so soon? I wish I could find an authentic version at an affordable cost.
eBay purchases…
Has anyone purchased a fragrance off of eBay? If so, was your experience good? Are they legit? Or are the asking prices “too good to be true”? Thank you in advance for any input. Best regards!

I have had more bad experiences than good. The only good experiences were buying clones sold as clones , but I have had consistent bad experience buying stuff sold as "authentic" which were actually fake.

I've noticed some sellers manipulate eBay feedback through fake or coordinated buyer accounts, arranging low-value transactions to build a positive history. Perfect example is the seller who sold me the fake Versace Dylan Blue. The seller is listed as scentmama but after clicking their name, find they are actually part of larger coordinated buyer accounts through "fragrance deals". I learned to read all negative feedback for any accusations of selling fake products. Seller left response that I was out to get "revenge" on them , in spite of (or because of) including side by side photo comparisons with authentic product. I was sold the counterfiet through a eBay live auction.
