Day 15, I'm down another 1.1lbs today! But more significantly, this is what I'm learning and prioritizing: 1) Sleep - so much sleep. If I am woken up in the night by kids I still try my best to get 8-9 hours. I intentionally go to bed on time to make sure I get what I need. 2) Weighing myself daily - gives me information that is helpful about how different things impact me. I also have learned that after a day of loss like today, it is normal the next day to stabilize and gain or lose on either end of 0. 3) Food - I noticed a couple meals, I was hungry, so upped my amounts, but then would go back to baseline - Dr. Cody encouraged me to stay at the increased about, but I was nervous. Now I have stayed there. Nourishing my body and giving what it needs for the win! I lost 1.1lbs making sure I ate enough food. 4) Now, in the morning, I look at my day and if it will be active or strenuous spiritually, mentally, emotionally or physically, and I add an ounce each of protein, veg and fruit to the meals to make sure I account for the expenditure. Also, it takes a while to eat ... not my typical mom-on-the-run routine. I will prioritize taking the time it takes me to eat all my food. I have realized that before I for sure was not getting what I needed. 5) I keep at least 3-4 containers of protein and veg that's ready to grab and go and add a fruit of choice. No last minute panic cooking. Life is much more relaxed with bulk cooking ahead of time. 6) I drink ½ my body weight in ounces daily and try to get in 60% before noon. I love adding LMNT electolytes to a huge water bottle to help with this (sweetened with stevia leaf). I have two water bottles pre-filled for the amount I must drink before noon and this keeps me on track. Thank you so much Dr. Cody! These are changes that are so good! I have lots of energy and feel great!
