I need to dig deep on my SLC1B1 gene for a minute. I know there’s not much evidence that Ezetimibe would could musculoskeletal issues but I have developed severe and quite debilitating plantar fasciitis. When looking back at my notes it began about 8 weeks after starting Ezetimibe. The data are convincing for Statins of course. But my notes also show that I stopped red yeast rice a week after starting due to arthritic finger pain which resolved upon discontinuation. I’m beginning to wonder if lipid lowering agents and I can’t coincide.

I recently found out I have the TC version of this gene. So I might have issues but less likelihood than someone that is a CC carrier. I have heard cessation of the statin for a period of time and then going back on it again has been super helpful for people experiencing these kinds of side effects. How often do you see that as an effective approach?

@Michael Twyman I bought an Artmeis 2 Mask for face and neck. So many out there to choose from and didn’t know about your amazing services beforehand! Know anything about Artemis 2? It wasn’t cheap…I need to investigate the “flicker” aspect. Not sure where I can find that. THANK YOU for your information and all the work you do to remove the noise and give clear information!

Dr Pompa Cell Membrane Inflammation Testing/Treatment?
Has anyone heard of the home test for cellular inflammation from Dr Pompa? I recently bought a home test…and it shows high levels of cellular inflammation. I am looking forward to working with Dr Tyman on my inflammation and heart health. I researched Dr Pompa’s program for cell membrane treatment and it has a lot of mixed reviews. He promotes himself as addressing CELL MEMBRANE inflammation and not just systemic….? Curious if anyone knows anything about it. Here is my home test result for cellular inflammation. Looking forward to tackling this with Dr. T. Looks like this is matching my elevated HS CRP results :(

@Terri Rae Jones I canceled the consult as to not add too many cooks in the kitchen :). I have my consult soon with Dr Twyman….VERY much looking forward to gaining some control and feeling less overwhelmed and helpless on this journey.
