📹 This Type of Video Could Help SELL Your Book
One thing authors often overlook when marketing their books is 𝗨𝗚𝗖 — 𝗨𝘀𝗲𝗿-𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁. UGC is essentially someone sharing their personal experience or opinion about your book. It feels conversational, authentic, and much less like a polished advertisement. Take these two videos I recently created for 𝗠𝗼𝗺, 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗶𝗿 and 𝗗𝗮𝗱, 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗶𝗿 by @Mun-Won Chang Instead of simply saying, “Here’s a great book, go buy it,” I’m able to: 👉 Physically show the book 👉 Flip through the pages 👉 Point out details I genuinely liked 👉 Explain who I think would enjoy it 👉 Talk about why it would make a great gift That gives a potential buyer something a product description alone can't always provide: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻'𝘀 𝗲𝘆𝗲𝘀. And here's where this gets REALLY interesting for Amazon authors... You can't simply upload your own marketing video wherever you want on your Amazon book listing. However, eligible creators in the 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 can create shoppable videos, tag the products featured, and Amazon may place those videos on relevant product detail pages. That means someone who is already on Amazon considering your book could potentially see a real person holding it, showing the inside, and talking about their experience with it. 👀 That can be incredibly powerful at the point of purchase. Amazon specifically says approved influencer videos may be discovered on relevant product detail pages once the influencer qualifies for on-site placements. 👉 If you want a UGC style video for your book. ORDER ONE HERE FOR $50 💡 𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗥 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗜𝗣: Don't just think about getting reviews. Think about getting your book into the hands of people who can actually CREATE CONTENT around it. A good UGC-style video gives you something visual, personal, and persuasive that can help a shopper go from:

WE HAVE A TIE! 🏆
Well, this is something I definitely didn’t see coming! 😂 Our August Referral Race officially ended in a TIE between @Jen Pm and @Dr. Shermnae Jones — with 76 referrals EACH! 🤯👏 I absolutely love how competitive this race became, and more importantly, how many new people were introduced to our community because members were willing to share it. So… I’m not breaking the tie. They BOTH win! 🎉 Each of these ladies will receive a 7-day pinned post here in the community where they can highlight their books, community, business, or anything else they’d like more visibility on. Huge congratulations to both of you!! 🥳 And thank you to EVERYONE who participated in August’s referral race. Every single referral helped this community grow and played a part in the momentum we’re seeing right now. ❤️ Drop a congratulations below for our TWO August Referral Race winners!

A strong book starts with a clear foundation: 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 → 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 → 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲 → 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 → 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 When those pieces are clear, you know exactly who you’re writing for, what they need help with, and where your book is taking them. That clarity shapes everything that follows—from your title and outline to your cover, description, keywords, and marketing. If you skip this step, you may end up with a manuscript that feels scattered, generic, or filled with information that doesn’t move the reader forward. You can also waste money marketing a book that people don’t immediately understand. 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: - Who is this book specifically for? - What main problem are they trying to solve? - What do they need help understanding? - How should their life improve after reading it? Books that sell aren’t written for “everyone.” They’re written for one clear reader and happen to resonate with many. 👉 For example, “people with anxiety” is broad. A clearer audience would be: Someone who overthinks at night and can’t quiet their mind enough to sleep. That level of specificity helps you stay focused, avoid filler, and create content that feels relevant. 🙌 Before outlining, complete these sentences: Someone would buy this book because… After reading this book, they should be able to… This book is not for… If you haven’t taken the free Future Author Energy course yet, start there. It will help you clarify your audience and direction before you write a single word. You can also grab my Self-Publishing Playbooks for only $15 right now. At the end of the month, the price returns to $27. They’re filled with practical lessons to help you build, publish, and position your book more effectively.
