Your Weekend Plot Twist Starts NOW!
We're giving you a tiny mission for this weekend. And it starts today. TODAY: Pick somewhere you don't normally go. A thrift store. An international market. A quirky little shop. A bakery you've never tried. A plant nursery. A used bookstore. A flea market. Somewhere you've passed a dozen times and thought, I should go in there someday. 👇 Tell us in the comments where you're going. Then, sometime this weekend, GO. But here's the challenge: 💵 You have an imaginary $10 budget. Wander around. Explore. Look at things you normally wouldn't look at. Then find the ONE thing you'd spend your $10 on. You don't actually have to buy it! 📸 Snap a picture of your choice and come back here to show us what won your $10. And if nothing was worthy? Tell us that too, and show us the weirdest, funniest, most unexpected thing you found instead. That's it. No productivity. No errands disguised as an adventure. No pressure to make it meaningful. Just get out of your normal routine and see what you find. So…where are you going this weekend? 👀

I went to Mad Red Books. Nice used bookstore on the Eastern/Serene area.

So many. I supplies for all kinds of things, but never just sit down and do it.
✨ PLOT TWIST MONDAY: Help Us Read the Room
Super easy one today. No homework. 😉 Right now, what would make a community like Plot Twist Guild feel GOOD to you? A. 🎉 Fun things to actually go DO B. 💬 More conversation & connection here in the group C. 🌱 Occasional inspiration, ideas & little pick-me-ups D. 🔕 LESS STUFF. I already have enough noise in my life. 😂 E. 👀 Honestly? I mostly like to lurk and see what catches my eye. Just drop A, B, C, D or E below. That's it. ❤️ And yes — lurking is a perfectly acceptable answer. 😉

An Impactful Book Lesson
Whew the day got away from me. Today I'd love to hear a book that made an impact on you because of a lesson it taught. That can be serious, emotional, silly or hilarious. Mine in the comments.

The cheerleader by Ruth Doan McDougall. Even though it takes place in the '50s and I read it in the late '80s, I really related to the main character and how much pressure she put on herself.

@Brandy Wardlow yes I read in the first book in high school and then spent years wondering what happened to the characters. In the early 2000s I did an internet search and found that she had written a sequel in the early night that there was another book about you come out. I've read most of them I think I own them all but I haven't read the last two. I really enjoyed the first one. They're all pretty good but the first is my favorite.
