Thoughts follow me - Playing around with AI (Suno)
I wrote a song. I'm trying to learn how to create songs with vocal melodies. Problem is, I can't sing at all. So I create a melody with my guitar, and hope that translates into a vocal melody ok. https://app.box.com/s/asxrdz709sa1dpm741rszzmeofvdz2c3 Giving this to Suno, it did a cover version. With better drums, better mix and production and changed a few things. I like this much better than my original https://app.box.com/s/575wn2f5ligvorf4at85tno7ugemkllx I also gave Suno my lyrics and it came up with these songs for my lyrics, not using my music at all. Thoughts Follow Me.mp3 | Powered by Box Thoughts Follow Me V2.mp3 | Powered by Box I think I need to pay for Suno Pro in order to get it to use my music, but replace my guitar melody with the intended AI generated vocal track. Anyway, I am just trying to learn how to write songs with lyrics and think AI can help to realise it so that I can hear what works and what doesn't in my writing.

I worked out how to get Suno to put a vocal onto my song, using my lyrics, my melody (mostly). https://app.box.com/s/ppyy6ezucqrj9481sn96f129649leayz
Finding Inner Peace
This is a song I created, the intent was to have a singer sing it, but I didn't have access to a willing and capable singer. Finding Inner Peace V3.mp3 | Powered by Box Because I've recently discovered the AI tool Suno, I ran my track through it, also giving it my lyrics and got these tracks out of it. With AI vocals and other AI changes - https://app.box.com/s/5dsnzzpsd8zxfbv42n648pt1vgi690oo As an AI instrumental cover - https://app.box.com/s/mg6ntbbcz8h710tkiuknjh86e0re600n

Symphony of Destruction
Hello @Chris Zoupa I'm having a go at the Symphony of Destruction song that you posted in the SongBook section of this forum. The rhythm stuff is fine, but I'm struggling with the solo, just for the shear speed of it. The process I use to learn a solo like this is very long winded and very likely highly inefficient. I typically learn the notes of the solo first, just over repetition, burn them into my brain so that I can get to a point where I'm thinking about the song rather than trying to remember what to play next. Next I plug my guitar in and hear how sloppy I'm playing, then try to work out how to play it reasonably clean. Then I go back to the song and try to play along, but at this stage I get shocked at how fast the solo is. I'm playing so frantically that I'm all slopy and forgetting bits and getting flustered. I've just recently worked out that I can slow the song down in Reaper, so I'm now doing that and trying to learn how to play at the slower speed, somewhere between 60-80% of the actual speed. I'm self taught and never worked with an instructor before, so not really sure what to ask. But do you think this is probably next best step forward? playing along with the song at a slower speed and gradually speed it up? Here is where I'm at, this only includes the beginning part of the solo which is much slower than the rest of it. The solo is at the end of the clip. https://app.box.com/s/ilc5d9no7ssmffdezessc0qdqyuftaie
Reverse Chord Lookup
You guys ever play a cool chord on guitar and have no idea what the heck to call it? I made a free tool when you can just click/tap the notes you played on a virtual fret board and it will tell you what the chord is! Enjoy. =] https://guitarlicklab.com/tools/what-chord-is-this/

It's hard to use this forum. I can't even create a post, I can just respond in a comment. Which is one reason why there isn't much activity here. Noone can post anything. I'd like to get value from this place, but I don't know how to use it.
