I am horrible at making graphics and posting on social media. Like I am so behind the times on what is even done. I only personally use BlueSky to chat. I spend no time on IG, TT, or FB (except to check out author grps). I don't like how it used to make me feel, so I stopped before TT began. But I created pages and want to try and utilize it for the upcoming challenge, and I don't know what to do. I know a Reel from a static graphic, and that's about all I know. LOL Is there a course, a workshop, a website where I can A. learn all of the different types of posts/formats with examples, and B. how to create them? Preferably something that won't cost me a grand. lol Thank you!

Also just seeing this: I'm in Adam Beswick's Novel Gains 40 Day Challenge on Skool right now and you can access all the materials for $35 a month, and quit whenever you like. It has been a game changer for how I use socials. Not only has my direct store income increased massively, doing the work has freed up the part of me that was nervous to "market too much". I used to only do daily content marketing, and used the 80/20 rule of 80% regular "hi there" content and 20% more direct marketing content. Now it's almost even, and I'm doing daily direct marketing. You can check it out for free on Facebook. Join Novel Gains then scroll back and look at Adam's August posts, those are what convinced me to try. Or here's my affiliate link for the course: https://www.skool.com/novel-gains-1247/about?ref=b4154f27de5a4378a34eccd750fb10c7
Good things can happen when you release negativity
I don't know if I'm the only one who has full conversations with herself in her head like a loon, but I had to talk myself down today because I was spiraling. I'm one of those people who tracks my income meticulously, and when deposits are late, I start to panic automatically because I'm always down to the wire. So, today I was grumpy and had a massive headache over a sizeable payment due to me that hadn't processed yet, and I forced myself to sit and relax, breathe, and let go of the negativity. What happened after that? The rankings of my book release from yesterday updated, and I'm in the Top 30 in two categories, Top 100 in the third. My income on that book spiked. I received an email that the payment I'd been so worried about had processed. So, if anyone needs me, I'll be chilling in my little mental oasis. 💜😁

I love this! Well done.
Do this!!!
Yesterday we talked about tactics you can use to 10x. But before you do that, you want to make sure your sales funnel is solid. Today I was updating my back matter and figured I'd explain a small thing that can get you more conversion and sales. Tiny, easy to accomplish--but also easy to miss--and super effective! Take the course that explains the whole sales funnel here

Thank you! BTW, speaking of me being the brand and people who love my fiction and nonfiction both… a man just discovered me on socials because of my reels and keeps returning to my shop to buy things. He’s spent over $300 in my store this past week. Not to mention the people who’ve been on my Patreon for a decade no matter what I do, and back every Kickstarter. Russell is right about this!

What if something goes wrong?
Fun fact: you can get all excited, decide on a course of action, and before you take your first step things fall apart. - kids get sick - car breaks down - you upload the wrong cover or manuscript - Someone hates on your viral reel - Amazon shenanigans For me, this looked like an email from Amazon, telling me my book was non-compliant and they're kicking it out of KU. This it the book I was going to advertise to increase pre-orders. I once heard a coach say, millionaires have millionaire problems. When I first got started, the problems I dealt with seemed insurmountable, but then I grew more adept at handling those problems, and now they're not a big deal. It's not that I stopped having problems, it's just I'm used to handling them--up until a certain level. If I keep learning and growing (and building my team), the millionaire problems will also seem small, and I'll be able to tackle bigger problems. I've had a lot of experience dealing with Amazon shenanigans. I feel whatever feelings come up-- anger, annoyance, maybe some fear--but then take a deep breath and email them multiple times until I get what I want. I still plan on getting the book back into KU and advertising the stuff out of it. In the meantime, I pivoted and decided to advertise other books that still have the link to the pre-order in the back matter (my favorite way to get pre-orders--we'll talk about this on the call today!). Anyhoo, stuff will happen, and you will have feelings about it, but you also can take a deep breath, take a break, pivot and do what you can. No ones going to die if my book isn't in KU --there are no ebook emergencies! It's uncomfortable, but I also wont' die if my reel gets nasty comments--just going through it will teach my nervous system that we can handle it, and then I'll be ready for bigger and better challenges. :D

Three things help me: 1- Living with an autoimmune disorder (and getting through a brain injury that required 6 mos of PT) has trained me that there are times when I can do All the Things, and days when I can work an hour. I adapt. That adaptability serves me well when things go wrong. 2- Claire Taylor’s comment that “There are no life or death emergencies in publishing” is a great reality check. 3- When I find myself tensing up around something, I call on my personal writing and business mantra: “Let it be easy.”

I’m in Adam Beswick’s Novel Gains challenge, and my daily efforts are en route to 10x ing my follower count and engagement and my direct sales are way up. I feel a little afraid to 10x my sales in general, but want to 10x my special edition sales!
