@Nick Simons check out gplama’s yt for powermeter accuracy testing. I do have a couple bikes so pedal based ones work great in this case.

Robert's +10 Watt FTP in 4 Weeks
Consistent. Structured. Effort. That's what I conclude as the key to @Robert Wagner's massive FTP increase in the past 4 weeks. He did a 2x8 min FTP test (for practical reasons) at the beginning and after last block. I want to give him a shoutout with this post and also inspire you with showing what's possible. His stats: Test 1 - 261 & 264 Watt average --> 236 W FTP Test 2 - 274 & 272 Watt average --> 246 W FTP + 4,2% in 4 weeks. Gangster 😎

Well done, that's some serious gain! 💪
Zwift buys Rouvy
Just seen on GCN that Zwift has bought Rouvy. Tried them both and opted to keep My Whoosh, but its certainly a talking point for those that use such platforms for training and racing. They have said that they will keep them separate for now, but wonder what the future holds. Personally, I think for what you get for free on MW, massively outweighs the benefits of the other two, but there are plenty of other options too, such as Training Peaks Virtual and Wahoo Systm, to name but two. I think they will eventually merge and price increases will ensue, but who knows.

Did enjoy the real world aspect of Rouvy and the social aspect of Zwift. However on long low intensity rides I opted to watch YT and didn't really care about what app controls my smart trainer.
12 Week Challenge Results
I just did my final pre-fatigued FTP test, here’s what I wrote 12 weeks ago: '’Hello everyone, my name is Clément, I'm 28 and I've been cycling since 2012, although with a long injury. I started cycling with cross country in the mountains and since I've moved to a flatter city, I picked up road cycling in 2016. I did a lot of volume and was starting to show strong performances in races but I got injured... 🙃 After spending around 5-6 years doing rehab and still having pain in my knee, I'm finally seeing the end of the tunnel ! I seriously got back into cycling around two years ago. First year was to make sure I could cycle without pain. Second year was the one where I signed up to races and challenged myself: long distance triathlon (70.3), ultra distance cycling (1500km in 5 days), semi marathons and a marathon. Now this new year is the one where I'm (hopefully) getting back into proper race shape! My currents stats are ~300w ftp for 90kg at 1m90: so 3,3w/kg. Ultimately i want to break the 4w/kg barrier. For this challenge I hope to improve my FTP to 320w. Outside of the quantified changes, I mainly want to get some structure in my training and see what it can do. Also I aim for the 100% compliance 😃. Im a huge gear nerd so lets talk about anything 😁 Also I play table tennis around 2 times a week with tournaments in the weekend 🏓.’’ 📊 Results (60-min test)Test 1: 258 W (indoor)Test 2: 264 W (indoor)Test 3: DNF (indoor)Final: 276 W (outdoor) 📊 Net: +19 W (+6,2%) - goal crushed! 🟢 Consistency 62 workouts planned55 workouts completed 🟢 89% compliance - goal achieved! That was my first time getting coaching in any shape. It was really insightfull. Sometimes I saw what was planned and I genuinely did not think I would make it. The 4h of vo2 max & over unders was crazy :D. I was fairly limited by my knee, battling inflammation during the program. Still managed to achieve 90% of completion, there was 1 strength workout I skipped, everything else was recovery due to injury

🟢 Tadej's (mr. consistency) challenge results (234 W -> 272 W)
Meet @Tadej Murovec. Here's what he wrote before starting his challenge over 12 weeks ago: ''Hi everyone, Tadej here. At 41, I suppose I’m entering my mid-life crisis era. But instead of buying a sports car, I’ve decided to see just how fast I can get while my body still allows for progress. I want to max out my potential rather than just coasting. My big ambition for the year is to finish a 300km bike marathon in late September. To do that, I need tweak my engine. My main reason for joining is to stop guessing, "set the base right," and embrace the necessary Z2 grind to become efficient. I want to build a foundation that lasts. I want to increase my 1-hour power by at least 3% in 12 weeks. (Going from 234W to 241W+). I have a desire to perform "better than average," but I know that training in isolation makes it easy to cut corners. This challenge changes that by leveraging the community to keep me accountable. I’m a data geek—I’m keen on measuring progress frequently to ensure I’m heading in the right direction, and this structure provides that. To increase my 1 hour power, I will complete more than 80% of my training as planned.'' And boy did he deliver. 📊 Results (60-min test) - Test 1: 234 W (indoor) - Test 2: 237 W (indoor) - Test 3: 260 W (outdoor) - Final: 272 W (outdoor) 📊 Net: +38 W (+16,2%) - goal completely crushed! 🟢 Consistency - 64 workouts planned - 64 workouts completed 🟢 100% compliance - goal completely crushed! Even though the final 2 tests were outdoors, it's safe to say that the 12 weeks were a huge success. Tadej did multiple 5 hour indoor rides and never missed a workout. That in itself is very impressive. Consistency wins! Can I get a round of applause for @Tadej Murovec
