My highest credit score is 665 and my lowest is 618. I still have a few negative things on my credit profile, and I keep getting denied for credit cards and other things. I currently have no credit cards reporting on my credit profile. I did have one credit card in the past that I stopped paying, but I have since paid the balance off completely. I honestly don’t have a lot of credit history, so I’m trying to understand why I keep getting denied for things even though my credit score is improving. Could my limited credit history and the previous unpaid credit cards late payments etc be the reason?

Why is my score with Experian so hard to increase? My other credit scores can go up by 20 or more points, but Experian only goes up about 5 points and then seems to drop quickly if files come back verified
