I am getting ready to layer in the e-collar and want to make sure I get it right. I am looking for tips on finding the lowest working level. I am also wondering about the momentary vs continuous stimulation. In the e-collar training video when prompting “here” it looks like nick is used but the command sheet shows continuous. I have a similar question for the heel command. Should it be continuously stimulated the entire time the dog is in a heel? Any help is appreciated!

I have a 7 month old GSP I am currently working through the training course. He is a pretty bold confident pup. I have been letting him get used to the leather training collar the past couple of days just dragging it around the yard. Today we tried to start working come go with me but as soon as any pressure was applied via the queue he just plopped himself down on the ground. This happened multiple times before I decided to call it quits for the session. Has anyone else had this issue with their dog? If so, how did you work through it? Thanks.
