Let's Talk - Hardest Thing??
THE HARDEST THING I HAD TO ACCEPT ABOUT MENOPAUSE… Was realizing that everything I had done for years to maintain my body was no longer giving me the same results. As a fitness trainer for over 30 years, that was a hard pill to swallow! I was still exercising, eating healthy, and staying consistent, yet my body was changing. I had to stop fighting my body and start listening to it. I PIVOTED. ✔️ Increased my protein intake. ✔️ Reduced certain starches. ✔️ Adjusted my training and recovery. ✔️ Learned to work WITH my hormones, not against them. Menopause didn't mean I lacked discipline. It meant my body needed a different approach. And sometimes growth requires us to release what USED to work and embrace what works NOW. Ladies, what has been the hardest thing for YOU to accept about menopause? Let's talk! ❤️

All of it. My trainings, my nutrition. Menopause just kinds crept in and I didn't realize it until I was already in it and the weight came from out of no where. The hardest thing is just accepting that I am in this season period. Since I am in it I am learning, doing research and of course asking lots of questions along the way but life is different with menopause.
Going LIVE on IG Tonight..
See you ladies tonight Wednesday October 7th on IG@tinathetrainer 7pm CST as we speak on protein in menopause.

I was present. SO glad I had an opportunity to attend it. Much wisdom was shared.... and I hope I look as good as the young lady who said she is 67..... She doesn't look like it at all!
The Pivot
I’m learning that menopause requires me to PIVOT. 🌿 I’m realizing more and more that I can’t always do what I used to do and expect my body to respond the same way. And if I’m being truthful, that can be frustrating. But I’m also learning that this season isn’t about fighting my body or forcing it to keep up with an old version of me. It’s about listening to what my body is asking for NOW. Maybe that means more recovery instead of pushing harder. More protein instead of eating less. More strength training and less excessive cardio. More sleep. More hydration. Less stress. Or simply giving myself permission to slow down when my body says, “I need a minute.” Menopause is teaching me to listen, adjust and pivot. And I want to encourage you to do the same. Pay attention to your energy. Pay attention to your sleep. Pay attention to your hunger, recovery, mood and strength. Our bodies are communicating with us. Lean in. Listen. Adjust. Pivot. We’re not trying to get our old bodies back. We’re learning how to beautifully and powerfully care for the bodies we have NOW. 💪🏽🤎 💬 Community Question: What is ONE thing your body has been asking you to do differently lately? — Tina the Trainer

One thing my body has been asking me to do differently is to add more protein. Yesterday I did it, and my body was well pleased. Also, I notice that she is asking for more sleep. So I plan to lean in with this too and start giving her more sleep.
Menopause Check- In
🔥 MENOPAUSE CHECK-IN: Ladies, what has changed for YOU? Can we talk about menopause for a minute? 👀 One of the biggest frustrations I hear is: “I’m doing the same things I used to do…but my body isn’t responding the same.” Yep. Because your body is changing — and your approach may need to change with it. This season isn’t about punishing yourself with less food and MORE cardio. It’s about learning what your body needs NOW. 💪🏽 🥩 More attention to protein 🏋🏽‍♀️ Strength training to protect that muscle 💧 Hydration 😴 Better sleep and recovery 🧘🏽‍♀️ Stress management ❤️ And some GRACE while you figure out this new season Your body isn’t asking you to give up. She’s asking you to PAY ATTENTION. So let’s get a conversation going in here. 👇🏽 What has been the BIGGEST change you’ve noticed during perimenopause or menopause? A️⃣ Weight gain / stubborn belly fat B️⃣ Hot flashes C️⃣ Sleep problems D️⃣ Mood / energy changes E️⃣ Muscle loss / feeling weaker F️⃣ Something else Drop your letter below 👇🏽 — and if you’re comfortable, tell us what you’ve been struggling with. I have been struggling with all of the above and frozen shoulder. However, I have been pivoting since working directly with you so I am seeing results (PRAISE THE LORD) - This weekend I found out that we had death in our family so last night I felt as though my mind raced alot so I did not sleep well at all. I have been very intentional about prioritizing my protein. My strength training could be better, but I am still moving.
Meals in menopause..
MEALS IN MENOPAUSE 🥑🥦 When your meals look like this, results come easier! ✅ Tofu for protein ✅ Black beans for protein and fiber ✅ Broccoli for nutrients and digestion ✅ Avocado for healthy fats Keep it simple: protein, fiber, healthy fats, and whole foods. This combination helps support lean muscle, manage cravings, and keep you satisfied longer during menopause. — Trainer Tina 💪🏽
