Perimenopausal woman here 🙋🏻♀️ I can give you actual firsthand experience. I also have autoimmune disease, chronic inflammation and unstable blood sugar despite not being diabetic, so my energy problems have several moving parts. For energy, the most noticeable and repeatable combination for me has been NAD+ and L-carnitine together. I had used them separately, but taking them together was when I finally noticed sustained energy and an overall GREAT feeling without feeling overstimulated or crashing later. I now use both consistently because maintaining a steadier level works much better for me than taking larger amounts only a few times a week. For mental clarity and focus, Semax has helped me. For calm, anxiety and emotional regulation, Selank has been the better fit. I use Semax and Selank together five days on and two days off because they complement each other really well for me—clearer brain without feeling wound up. I call the combination my Brain Calm. 😂 Oxytocin has also made a VERY noticeable difference in my mood, connection, affection and irritability. That one surprised me because my family noticed the difference before I fully did. When I ran out, the anger and irritability started creeping back in almost immediately. It doesn’t necessarily create energy, but being calmer and not constantly emotionally overloaded definitely leaves me with more energy for everything else. I also use glutathione for antioxidant and cellular support. I don’t “feel” it as immediate energy the way I feel NAD+ with L-carnitine, but I consider it another piece of the puzzle. Low-dose tirzepatide has helped reduce my inflammation and stabilize my blood sugar, which indirectly changed my energy and how well I function. I am not diabetic, but I have dealt with unstable blood sugar and sudden drops since I was 19. I also have MCTD and chronic inflammation, so sometimes improving “energy” is really about dealing with all the things draining it in the first place. For complete honesty, PE-22-28 was NOT a winner for me. I completed the full month, but I knew within the first week that it didn’t seem to be helping and might actually be making things worse. It made me feel emotionally flat, and that continued throughout the cycle. I finished it so I could give it a fair shot, but I did not continue it. I was also not a fan of PT-141 at all. MOTS-c was also not kind to me so I only took it three times before deciding it wasn't for me either.
