Hello, members. Thad Clardy here from Clardy Machine Works, LLC. I've been in this trade for 10 years now but I've always dreamed of starting my own shop but have been serious about putting it into action for about 7 months. I have been researching customers, quoting machines, making relationships within the industry; trying my best to learn and prepare as much as possible so my start up is smooth and successful. PracticalMachinist.com forums have been my best friend. Just gained my LLC last month and hoping to go into business late this year, early 2026. I am building a shop this summer and a CNC machine will follow, likely a Methods MV1000L. My main goal is to set myself apart from other start up shops and shops in my area. I've put extensive time into researching customers and ways to appeal to them. Trying to think outside the box. I came across the YouTube channel and it instantly struck my interested. Glad to be here and connect with others who wish to achieve the same as I do. I hope I can learn more tricks to the business sides of this industry and have help along the way. Cheers, Thad Clardy Clardy Machine Works
