Silent Strength Is Costing Black Women Their Mental Health📌
Who Takes Care of the Strong Woman? Who takes care of you? There is something many of us have become incredibly good at...Holding it together. We show up for our families. We handle the work. We build the business. We solve the problem. We check in on everyone else. And even when we're tired, overwhelmed, disappointed, or carrying something privately, somehow we still find a way to keep going. Being strong is a beautiful thing. But sometimes, we can become so accustomed to being "THE STRONG ONE" that we forget we're also allowed to need rest, support, softness, and care. You don't always have to push through. You don't always have to have the answer. And you don't have to wait until you're completely exhausted before giving yourself permission to slow down. Today's short resource talks about the emotional weight that can come with always feeling like you have to be strong, and what it can look like to make room for yourself too. So here's today's check-in - Where have you been asking yourself to be strong when what you actually need is support? You don't have to share the answer with us. Maybe today, it's simply a question you sit with. 💗

When Was the Last Time You Checked In With You? 💌
Hey ladies, we check in on everyone. Our families. Our friends. Our teams. Our clients. Our communities. The people who depend on us. But when was the last time you sat quietly enough to ask yourself, How am I actually doing? One thing I'm learning about rest is that sometimes it isn't simply about stopping. Sometimes, rest gives us room to unpack. Throughout the year, we pick things up without even realizing it — the weight of responsibilities, difficult experiences, unanswered questions, disappointments, expectations, and emotions we didn't have time to process because life kept moving. And sometimes we need enough quiet to finally sit with ourselves and notice what we've been carrying. One simple tool for doing that is journaling. Not perfect journaling. Not another daily habit you need to maintain. Not pages and pages of writing. Just a little space to get what's in your head and heart onto paper. Today's resource walks through a few simple ways to journal for greater mental clarity. Pick whichever approach feels easiest or simply open a blank page and start with: How am I, really? And see where the answer takes you. No fixing. No judging. No figuring out your entire life. Just checking in with you for a change.💗

Are You Stressed Out Sis? Let's Slow Down for a Minute 🌿
In this season of rest, we need to prioritize our health and wellness. This is why we need to address one of the major culprits - CORTISOL. Cortisol is one of our body's primary stress hormones. And don't get me wrong, cortisol isn't entirely bad, it actually plays an important role in helping us wake up, stay alert, and respond to the demands of everyday life. But when you're carrying a lot for a long time... building a business, managing a career, caring for family, serving others, and wearing all the other hats that come with being you, your body can begin to feel the effects of ongoing stress. Maybe you've noticed it in the racing thoughts. The difficulty switching off. Feeling tired but still wired. Or simply realizing that your body has been carrying more tension than you thought. So today's invitation is not another thing to accomplish. We're sharing this gentle yoga practice from Yoga With Adriene as an opportunity to pause, breathe, move gently, and reconnect with your body. And here's the best part: you don't have to do all 27 minutes. As you wind down later today or first thing in the morning, give yourself 5 minutes. Give yourself 10. Or stay for the whole practice if it feels good. There's nothing to complete and nothing to catch up on. Just a little space to slow down and care for yourself today. And if you press play, even for five minutes, we're proud of you for choosing to show up for yourself. Will you try it out?

🧰 Toolbox Tuesday | Revisit Your Why
Hey Ladies, happy new month! We've already established that August is our month of rest. But rest doesn't just mean stepping away. Sometimes it means slowing down enough to listen, reflect, and reconnect with the vision God placed on your heart. This week, I'd love to encourage you to revisit the Called to Clarity Workshop with Nerissa Malloy. Whether you're watching it for the first time or returning to it with fresh eyes, you'll be reminded how to: - Clarify the business God has called you to build - Define who you're called to serve - Build with purpose instead of pressure - Create a clear, actionable next step Sometimes the clarity you're looking for isn't found in doing more, it's found in revisiting what God has already shown you. 🎥 Resource for this week: Called to Clarity Workshop Take some time this week to go to the classroom resources under workshop replays, watch (or rewatch) the called to clarity workshop, jot down your reflections, and ask yourself: What part of my vision needs the most clarity in this season? We'll build on this together tomorrow. 💛

✨ ⏺🎙️July LIVE! | The Recording🎙️⏺ ✨
Tonight Sherrika showed up with something on her heart, and she was not going to let it go unshared. What she dropped in this session has been sitting with her all week. Things around the mindsets we carry long after God has delivered us from the places that shaped them. About showing up as the person you are called to be, right now, in the season you are actually in. And about minimizing the distractions so you can maximize what God has placed in your hands. Because where you are today is just preparation for where God is taking you. The things you are praying for are not out of reach. They are on the other side of what He has already placed in your hands. The recording is below. Pour yourself something warm or cold, find a quiet moment, and let this one sit with you. (Watch at 1.25X for some of the QT back) And if you missed tonight, we hope this finds you right on time. 💛
