Small but Mighty
Great class today. It was just the three of us — James, Adham, and myself — but we had an incredibly productive session. I’m grateful to James for forging ahead; many teachers would have cancelled, but he kept us in the game. I really appreciate “The Weekly,” which helped me prepare for the scene far more effectively. We also talked about the importance of memorization, which is truly part and parcel of the acting craft. James left us with a powerful quote: “Amateurs practice till they get it right. Professionals practice till they can’t get it wrong.” Mic drop. I’ve only been part of ACC for a month, but I can say without hesitation that we have something special here. Thanks to James — and to all of you — for being part of this journey ❤️

Welcome, Claudine! It’s great to have you joining us. Your creativity in writing and design will fit beautifully into the work we do here, and I’m excited to see how acting opens up new doors for you. Looking forward to meeting you and having you in the room with us. ACC is the place to be🙏🏽
Sept 13th - This Week Scene + Schedule
Hey all, hope you're having a great week. We'll be meeting at 10am Los Angeles time on Sunday, Sept 13th. This week we're going to be doing COLD READS of a scene. If you've never done a cold read, essentially it means acting a scene with minimal prep time. I'll post the scene in the group at 10am, and give you 10-15 minutes to read it, make choices, etc. and then we'll be acting them and getting notes in class. Sometimes this will happen in auditions, where you go in for one role, and they want to have you read for a different role, or a different scene, and you need to be able to deliver a good performance with minimal prep time. So just show up on Sunday, and let's have some fun. Best, James

Great work today, y’all. That cold reading stretched me in the best way, and watching each of you work reminded me why I love being part of this club. I learned something valuable today and I’m thankful for the effort, honesty, and heart everyone brought. Looking forward to next week already.
What's happening!!!
Hey Everybody, I'm Todd McCauley. I trained in Meisner for two years at the Houde School of Acting in Cleveland, working all the way into scene work before stepping away to regroup and grow. I'm excited to be here, sharpen the craft, and get back into consistent work with a community that takes the work seriously. Looking forward to learning from all of you and contributing wherever I can
