if my track has no snares how should i mix the vocals if there is no snare to match the vocals to it

put a snare in that you think works well. Then find the general place your vocal would sit. Then mute the snare track. You will probably have to fine tune your vocal from there depending on the vocal style and range.

Suggestion for M_dot_C
I've noticed several times when "time" becomes an issue. Things get changed and people get confused as to what time a thing is going to happen in their location. Why don't you switch to 24 hour UTC time? That way everyone knows what time the event will be occurring even if they are traveling. People in fixed locations can simply learn their offset. Or they can simply type in... "What time is it in [ my city ] at 17:30 UTC 11/15/2026? Most everyone's phone, tablet, computers are tied to UTC and they will get an exact time. Aviation is all tied to UTC/Zulu. 2026-09-28T16:52:00Z Year-Month-Day(T=Time)Hour(in 24 format):Minute:Seconds(Zulu = tied directly to UTC:00:00) But again any search engine can convert normal spoken words. So "The show starts at 13:00 ( 1PM ) UCT on October 2nd" works just fine. If you live on east coast USA that's 9AM EDT 10/02. If you live in Madrid it's 15:00 ( 3PM )11/02 When a contest ends "at midnight" it's much more easily understood and can not be improperly calculated if the contest ends at 23:59 UCT 10/01/2026. It would simply eliminate all confusion even as time zones change through travel or seasonal standard vs daylight savings. Also it seems to me if you had an instructor in different time zone or a mentor call and one party or both need to quickly coordinate a time. Anyway just a thought. If it saved everyone a couple minutes on all the varied communications, videos, etc., it would seem worth it in the long run.

@Tim Collins I know. Partially what prompted my post. One recent thing there was a mix up and Caleb said ok, it ends at 3AM this morning. Well that meant for me the contest ended 9 hours ago. I had someone once tell me, and he was a musician / engineer. If you treat people like children they will act like children. If you treat them like adults they will act like adults. In my thinking "it starts X UTC and ends Y UTC" is an adult manner of saying you have the time deal with it like an adult. The other thing that recently happened to me was for reasons that are not important but let's just say they are stressed. They post one thing and send an email stating another and they were tied to Central US daylight. So I log in based on the email and got to see the last 5 minutes.

@Tim Collins Sounds reasonable.
DAW?
In the Classroom I know they are using Logic, but I need help with FL Studio every class I have gone into is every DAW all except FL. I hate to ask this but is there videos that can be Created kindly and respectfully by one of you mentors to put into the current classroom? also I know one of the mentors on here use FL but they are not a part of the VIP membership pack as I was told. Feel kinda at a loss

You probably don't want to hear this but if you are going to use "X" DAW you really need to spend time learning it. It's sort of like driving a car or a motorcycle. A straight shift car or an automatic. A car with traction control on or a car with no traction control. Most videos teach you how to make a cool song. They don't teach you how your DAW operates. Think about that for a minute, What I do when someone is teaching me from a platform I am not familiar with is go "ok I can replicate that by doing this" OR oh all I need to do is "XYZ" to get the same thing. IOW, Just because they use Loxic, or they use ProCools. You still need to know how to drive your DAW. You really can't expect people to translate a learning experience for you with respect to DAWS. Moral of the story === copycat template learning is a minimal first step to understanding.
what why how but when?
I'm in a loop of productions. how do you know wnen it is good enough to call it done and bounce it to mixing? how much of the depth gets completed in production. how long should I spend mixing a production? how good does it have to sound before it's sent it to mixing??? I'm in 101 maybe all these questions will be answerd when I finish 101 and 102 idk. Anyway I hanen't played this song for anyone yet. any feed back from you guys would be great. I just started using some of the things I've learned here. sorry if I went a little nuts with delays atomation reverbs and compression still havn't masterd anything.

Just lost my entire post... Short story... I agree with @Petter Jensen I re-typed the long version and realized, as usually do, I come from an arrangement point of view. IOW I could hear your tracks used for .... Movie chase scene as is. As a song in genre may need some changes to timings and structure. Radio / TV commercial --- pick various pieces and assemble but this would hinge on how you finish your genre specific song. Cool song, the sounds are good, the rhythm is stepping on the lead vocals ( mainly the guitar). If you gave those tracks to 50 people to mix you would probably get at least 20 mixes that are nothing like what you have AND also sound like 20 different song versions. That's a good thing. So it's mixed, re-produced, re-arranged. The sounds are good and there are so many things to work within your tracks. Again a good thing If you are tied to that mix structure though, you might get 50 similar mixes back. So is it ready depends on your flexibility. I think it's ready for someone that has some interesting arrangement ideas.

@Scott Jouppi Wow, you need to get a new SIL. 'Terrible' is not the word that come to my mind. Here is something to consider. It's kinda what I hear and kinda what I've read and kinda what I have done. If you have never read it, get Jimmy Webb'e book on song writing. At one point he describes the evolution of a song. Among many other things. I'm going to cut to the chase. Me with producer hat on. Your opening "Yeah come on" it's high energy. Next segment the deep voice laid back guy that brings the low end with some swagger. Later there is a guitar rhythm section. but it's pretty static. It sounds good the tones. Then a lead guitar break that has energy kinda similar to everything before. Here is what I would do. 1. Cut the "Yeah come on" and keep it for later. 2. Start with the laid back guy that brings the low end with him. 3. Get your vocals clear and unencumbered --or-- if you want to go the Bryan Ferry route he made quite a career sort of shrouding a lot of his vocals. BUT you still know when he is singing. He's not in competition. 4. If you can figure how to get the rhythm guitar section before the solo to swing a bit and even better get that hypnotic Reggae groove happening. 5. Now place that opening "Yeah, come on" 6. Guitar solo So in my outline you come in slow and deep. You deliver your message with the vocals You give people a rhythm (guitars) that they groove on with your vocals in mind. You wake them up with "yeah come on" Guitar solo -- I really like this. It's raw but needs more 'it's about me now' Groove on out It's the same song. Nothing added, nothing removed. Things are just placed differently in time. You could do it many other ways Like where I suggest a hypnotic section you could do something totally different like a bridge with a key change. As far as 'repetition' goes. It's fine but it has to be done in a way that makes people think 'well I can't stop listen or I won't know what happens next'
