Hi Glen, one that springs to mind and still causes embarrassment when I think of it! Job was a local executive car firm - owner wanted booking agent but with a safety blanket. So we talked about a HITL message to her on WhatsApp so she could approve incoming jobs, check capacity, keep abreast of what's coming in and be happy with the booking before it was confirmed. We'd talked about WhatsApp with preloaded buttons - Approve / Ammend, clean, one tap. That's when I found out what an "interesting concept" metas UI on the meta business pages is! - so I substituted SMS instead. In my head same job, just different channel - approval is approval. In her head: fixed on WhatsApp for a reason. If it's SMS she thought it would cause confusion when more than one booking was in the pipeline. WhatsApp thread = you can see which booking you're approving, buttons attached to that job. SMS = just texts floating about, which job is this for? So what I built worked - approval came through, job got confirmed. Technically fine. What she expected: WhatsApp with buttons tied to that specific booking so she always knew what she was approving. Gap = I changed channel without realising channel WAS the feature for her. What I do now: 1. Write HITL channel + format in scope - "Owner gets WhatsApp template with Approve/Reject buttons linked to booking ID" not just "owner approval" 2. Show it on phone in Loom - "this is what YOU see when 2 jobs are in at once" 3. If WABA is employed I flag it upfront, not after - "buttons need template approval, takes a few days" I learned loads from that project, including realising that it doesn't matter nearly so much what I think is an acceptable substitute compared to what the client thinks is acceptable!
