My morning devo… Time for Battle
Just wanted to share a portion of my personal morning devotional today. I clearly hear God saying, prepare by uniting others around prayer for the nation. What’s happening Nepal, Africa, The Middle East and in VA are not to be if be ignored. It won’t be easy but we will win. “Lace Up Your boots, put on your backpack, it’s time to ride… I’m riding with Jesus wherever he goes!” Below is a snippet of a song I had on repeat during my devo today, along with a portion of one of the 3 books I’m reading today. Scroll left to see book excerpts COMMENT What does this mean to you? What are you hearing the Lord saying?

In listening to this song I heard there is work to do for the Kingdom and now is time. Boots are synonyms with combat, hard work, or rough terrain. The song didn't just say "put on your shoes" for a reason. I feel like the backpack is mentioned for a few reasons: 1)because we are bringing God with us wherever we go and 2) It may take awhile to complete the assignment so use the backpack to pack what you'll need for the assignment. Great song!

Thank you Camille. It really was the chorus that spoke to me the most.
New Classes Start Now!
It's been awhile, we were regrouping, but we are back now and expecting many more community members to join us here in our Virtual Better Life Academy. Here's my question... If there were 3 classes or 3 lesson's you want taught before the end of 2026 here in our SKOOL community, what would they be? Drop the course ideas in the comments and let's get reconnected.

Would love teachings/lessons on the book of Revelations, tithing, and spiritually gifts.
Joy for the Journey
After listening to this short video by Dr. Jennell what is your thought, response, question or call to action?

My take away is that we should take time to reflect, even when we can't take everything in in "real time". I think we should also not over extend ourselves even if what we do helps others. Burn out and fatigue are quick ways to lose our joy and peace of mind.
Necessary Blessings - BIBLE STUDY
What are your questions or takeaways from this bible study on how unnecessary events in life may be necessary for us to understand all of who God is and what he's able to do.

Awesome bible study! Caught it on replay. The pre programed is being. Reprogramed! My reaction and response will be different. I have permission to change. God is flipping me and my troubles around!
Lent Day 1 - Ash Wednesday: Marked by Mercy
LENT DAY 1 – Ash Wednesday From Thorns to Thrones: Marked by Mercy Main Scripture Psalm 51:17 (ESV) “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.” Bible Teaching & Lent Connection Ash Wednesday invites us into repentance, not humiliation. Your manuscript emphasizes that ashes represent confession and appreciation for grace. God is not looking for perfection — He is looking for surrender.Lent begins with a heart posture, not a performance. Ashes say: - I acknowledge my need - I receive God’s mercy - I begin again Short Story / Testimonial A father and son had not spoken in years. Pride built walls neither would tear down. One day, the father mailed a simple note: “I’m sorry.” No excuses. No explanations. The son called that night. Healing began with humility. Black History Connection – Richard Allen Founder of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church. Connection:After facing racial discrimination in a Methodist congregation, Allen didn’t abandon faith — he built a church rooted in dignity and repentance before God. Lesson:Humility before God empowers dignity before people. Closing Prayer Lord, create in me a contrite heart.Mark me with mercy, not shame. As I begin Lent, I surrender fully to Your grace. Amen. BE FREE TODAY: COMMENT BELOW Today I will start Lent by fasting from _____________________. Share with us below what you will be fasting from if it's not too personal.

@Dwight Riddick Thank you for sharing what you will be fasting for Lent! I knew that TV was the thing that I had to fast from, but I wasn't sure what I would replace that time with. I admitradly am not a big reader, but I used to be. I have some great books by Joyce Meyers that I started reading, but did not finish. I am going to grab one of those books and start reading it from the beginning instead of my evening TV indulgence. Thank you!
