Hii! I’m a newbie in Georgia too! 😊
3 Psychology Tricks That Make You Eat When You're NOT Hungry
Food is 80% of how you look and feel and it can effect everything from unwanted weight gain to depression to menopausal/andropausal symptoms...and a WHOLE Lot in-between. Have you ever eaten something when you weren't physically hungry...and halfway through you thought, Why am I even eating this? Sometimes, hunger ain't the reason. Our brains learn associations between food and pleasure, stress, reward, comfort, family, tradition and routine. After enough repetition, certain situations can practically become instructions to eat. Here are 3 I want you to THINK about: 1. The "Betcha Can't Eat Just One" Trick Remember that old Lay's slogan? #Psychology101 Certain highly rewarding foods can make stopping harder than we expect. Add habit, convenience, portion size and learned cues, and "I'll just have one" can quickly become half the bag. So before you automatically blame your "lack of willpower," THINK about what you're eating and what happens once you start. 2. The "I Deserve It" Trick Long day? I deserve it. Stressful day? I deserve it. Got a promotion? I deserve it. Made it through Friday? I DESERVE IT! Notice something? Whether life goes RIGHT or WRONG...food gets the reward. When food repeatedly becomes the way we reward, soothe or celebrate ourselves, our brains can begin expecting it whenever those situations happen. 3. The "I've Always Eaten This" Trick This one gets DEEP. Big Mama made it. Mama ate it. We've had it every Thanksgiving since you were 4. You've eaten it your entire life. And familiarity can make something feel unquestionable. Sometimes we're defending a food because of our relationship and history with it, rather than stopping to ask whether we still want it, need it, or how we feel after eating it.

#2 mostly for me, but also I associate eating with other activities such as having popcorn and sweets when watching a movie or it’s a feeling of being wasteful if I don’t eat everything because it was ingrained in my mind as a child to eat everything on my plate or I would be punished.
Need info
Not sure if this is the place for this but can someone tell me how to get someone to actually respond to me. Paid a lot of money for a program and the communication is horrible. I constantly have to follow up and I’m supposed to start Monday and haven’t heard anything and have emailed and texted. I am truly starting to think the whole thing is a scam.

I just signed up for 1:1 16-week program. Is that the one you signed up for? If so, I encountered a little bit of confusion. But once I was assigned a Client Services Manager, it has gotten better. She had to resend my welcome kit because I had not received it. The welcome kit explains the whole process and is so helpful.
Newbie from Athens, GA
Hello, everyone! My name is Tracy and I am a Georgia native, currently living in Athens, GA. I found Dr. Stephanie a few months ago on Insta and I feel like I have finally found the right solution for me. I am a breast cancer survivor and have been suffering from menopausal and thyroid symptoms for decades and just don't feel like myself. After decades of not finding answers from other doctors and functional medicine practitioners, I am hopeful I can find them here. I am looking forward to this journey!

@Dr. Stephanie Dunlop I am really looking forward to the 1:1 program. I just received my testing kits. Is that weird to be excited for all the tests? 😅
Same labs, results always “normal” but I don’t feel normal.
I came down with Covid in 3/23, it lasted for 10 days of pure fatigue. After a while I was able to resume a normal and active life. Then in August I got hit with all the symptoms that I had with Covid, a fatigue that disabled me. I am improving little by little and guess what, the minimal lab work my primary ran throughout this period, always the same test and always within normal range. It has taken me 3 years to get to where I am today with a little help from Dr Mark Hyman’s bot!
