@Priya Sharma thank you for this Priya! Glad to hear about your experiences. Know that many of the spiritual teachers ones were judged as well. Glad to have a space for sharing.

@Marc Yamaguchi thanks Marc! I think it’s valuable to maintain a sense of humour with material that can seem heavy or even controversial.
Welcome to Mathematizing Spirit!
Welcome to Mathematizing Spirit! If you're here, you've probably felt a tension many thoughtful people experience. You value science, evidence, and reason. Maybe you've asked yourself: - Can science and spiritual ways of knowing belong together? - Why does it feel like I have to choose between reason and meaning? - Is there a coherent way to understand both? This community exists because I asked those same questions. Mathematizing Spirit is a place to explore how science, mathematics, metaphor, consciousness, and spiritual ways of knowing can illuminate one another. This isn't a place for dogma. It's a place for thoughtful inquiry, open-minded dialogue, and intellectual curiosity. Introduce yourself! Please share: 1. Where you're joining from. 2. What brought you to this community. 3. One question about science, spiritual ways of knowing, or consciousness you'd love to explore. Welcome! I'm grateful you're here, and I look forward to learning alongside you. I'd also love to meet you. Book a free 15-minute onboarding call here: [Booking Link] Dr. Shepherd

Thanks for these thoughts Justice! Sensing and embodied understanding I believe will become more relevant as these are the qualities that make us most human. How my work addresses it is to say that the body/mind is not separate from but connected to the soul/spirit. The equation is 1=itself. The number 1 can represent the body/mind and itself represents the soul/spirit. When we allow the wholeness of our humanity, the ways of knowing become more whole-istic.

@Ronald Haimowitz I agree an open heart and mind is essential for learning. I’m glad to share more.

Thanks Justice! And welcome!
Dinner?
If you could have dinner with any scientist, philosopher, spiritual teacher, or mathematician—living or dead—who would you choose, and why?

@Ronald Haimowitz thanks Ronald. One of Einstein beliefs was that imagination is more important than knowledge. He was a genius that believed is both science and spiritual ways of knowing.
