@Brennon King That’s interesting, I hadn’t thought about it that way, but it makes sense. One of the other ATs in the district here has the goal of moving into admin, she was in the running for her schools AD position but HR declined cause she lacked an admin certificate…. So beyond that, not sure how else you could advance as a AT within a school system. Hospital system would be different, more opportunities for clinic management and such.

@Jenna Doggett Next poll could be something about why did you start in AT. Unfortunately the love of the game doesn't pay the bills.
🚨 Big changes are coming to the CD Elite AT Hub on November 1
I started this group because ATs deserve a place to grow, both in their clinical skills and in building the careers they want. I’ve spent the past few weeks building out what that looks like. Starting November 1, here’s what’s being added: 📚 CD Elite Academy (15 CEUs). This is my full breakdown of how I approach rehab, start to finish: - Philosophy. The principles behind how I evaluate and treat - Tissues and physiology. What’s actually happening in the body as it gets injured, heals, and adapts - Joint-by-joint breakdowns of the entire body - High-level movement systems. Where it all comes together, so you can see the whole athlete and not just the injury You’ll come out with 15 CEUs and a complete rehab framework you can use on your next athlete. 🔬 Research Review CEU Library. New research reviews added regularly, each worth CEU's. 💼 CD Elite Athletic Trainer Business course. How to build your own path as an AT, whether that’s growing in your current job or creating your own. 🩺 Weekly case calls every Wednesday. We work through real rehab cases together. 🤝 AT Business Roundtable on Fridays. Open discussion on contracts, side income, starting a business, and getting paid what you’re worth. 🏆 $150 Member of the Month. It’s staying. These are just the first additions. More courses, calls, and opportunities for growth are already planned. With these additions, the Hub becomes a paid community on November 1. Founding price: $10/month for the first 20 members. After that it’s $20/month. Founding members keep $10 for as long as they stay. Here is something I am really excited about!!! 💰 Every member gets profit sharing. You’ll have your own affiliate link and earn 40% of every membership you bring in, every month they stay. At the $20 rate: - 2 referrals cover your founding membership - 3 referrals cover the full $20 rate - 13 referrals and you’re making over $100 a month just for being part of the group I want this to be a place where ATs thrive, and that should include you getting paid for helping it grow.

Weekly Wins + This Week's Focus 🏆
Drop 3 things: 1. One win from last week (patient, business, or personal) 2. One thing that didn't go to plan 3. Your #1 focus this week I'll go first 👇 1. Sent out some cold DM’s and have an NFL coming to my house this week for rehab 😳 2. My monthly revenue is down about 40%! So success is never all it seems! 3. The amount of behind the scenes work I have done this week in the lull has been crazy. My Claude usage has been maxed out many times 🤣

1) Had V FB player come in 30 min before they had to load the bus, talking about his shoulder was pinching/hurting. Did a quick assessment, some ART work, and got rid of his pain all in time before we had to leave. 2) Gotta get my practice act sorted out, it's what delayed me from really launching my business a couple years ago but now I'm picking up steam again. 3) Am reaching out to a couple of law firms this week to get some legal advice on the matter, hope to get a meeting set with someone by the end of the month and will go from there.

Hey y'all
Hey I'm Tyler, born and raised in Lincoln, NE. Went to UNL then was in East Texas for 4 years as a GA/ full time AT. Moved back to Lincoln now to raise a family and am in my 6th year working at my HS alma mater and am teaching Pilates on the side cause the school salary isn't enough to support a whole family by itself. Which is why I'm working to build an AT business to be able to get out of the school position.

@Vander Castillo A private practice, seeing folks 1:1, treating active individuals and keeping them in the "game" and feeling good + moving well, would also love to work with athletes returning from surgeries and being that bridge from PT to full sport participation because there's definitely a gap there in our area. Not really interested in PRN/event coverage but could do that if needed especially as I'm starting out. Wouldn't mind being the go to guy for local clubs, but working less nights/weekends is a key goal as I look at leaving my high school position.

@Vander Castillo First step, getting my practice act sorted out... going to find some legal counsel to determine for sure how to practice with and/or without referrals. If I can get that nailed down, then it's a matter of creating some posts for FB/Insta and in-person networking/marketing. Leading up to the big decision, do I leave the HS at the semester coming up or stick it out til the end of the spring...
Hello!
Hi all! I’m new to this community and excited to be part of it. My name is Brennon King. I graduated from Concordia University, Irvine in 2013. I worked for 10 years in private high schools and covered a mix of college club rugby, rodeo, and pro beach volleyball. I then switched to industrial, working in warehousing and electrical utility. I started my sports rehab business, AthletIQ Sports Rehab, about 3 years ago. I help high level athletes get the care they need and get back to sport quicker and stronger than they were before. As I’m sure is the case for many, I struggle with raising money and marketing. My vision is to have 1-2 clinics where I currently live in the Temecula area in Southern California. Aside from all that, I’m a dad of three very active kids, my wife wants to be a homesteader and I’m training for a half marathon… so I’m doing a couple things 😂 Here’s a link to my website if interested: https://www.athletiqsportsrehab.com/
