A few months ago, my personal AI was mostly something I chatted with. It could help me research, write, analyze files, remember context, and handle tasks. But now it can actually join an online meeting and talk directly with my coworkers. I can simply tell it: “Join the team meeting and discuss this issue with everyone.” It confirms the meeting, joins at the scheduled time, follows the conversation, and participates when needed. It can also: • Share the project context it already knows • Answer questions from my coworkers • Keep track of decisions and action items • Continue working after the meeting • Report the important outcomes back to me Seeing my own AI sitting in a meeting alongside human teammates still feels slightly unreal. It’s no longer just a chatbot waiting for prompts in another tab. It’s starting to feel like a real personal coworker that understands my work, remembers context, and can collaborate with other people on my behalf. Obviously, everyone should know when an AI is present, and sensitive meetings still need clear permission. But this feels like a major shift: AI no longer just helps me prepare for work. It can now participate in the work with my team. Have you started using a personal AI yet? If yes, what can yours currently do?
